cze Abstract:
[cze][eng] (česky) Tato bakalářská práce si klade za cíl charakterizovat a analyzovat rozsáhlou básnickou skladbu The Night of Loveless Nights (zařazenou ve sbírce Fortunes, 1942) francouzského básníka Roberta Desnose. Závěr práce shrnuje shromážděné poznatky o tomto básnickém textu a jeho autoru.(anglicky) This bachelor thesis aims to describe and analyse the vast poem The Night of Loveless Nights that was written by a French poet Robert Desnos and published in a book of poems Fortunes (1942). The first chapter comments Desnos' biography while focusing on its crucial moments including his participation in the Paris Surrealist movement during the 1920s. Notable links between Desnos, his work and Czech (Czechoslovakian) cultural region are mentioned as well. After a brief résumé of Desnos' bibliography and key poetry collections, the thesis focuses on the presented poem. We contextualize it, point out its heterogeneity and then describe its major poetic qualities: the use of poetic and linguistic means of expression, the motivic aspects and the categories of time and space. While doing so, we observe by what means the author emphasizes the solitude of the lyrical subject. The conclusion of the thesis presents a synthesis of gathered knowledge concerning the author and the presented poem.
