Tato diplomová práce zkoumá, jaký mediální obraz Karla Gotta je konstruován v českých a německých denících 24 dní po oznámení jeho smrti. Vybranými periodiky jsou Lidové noviny, Blesk, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung a Bild. Periodika byla zvolena tak, aby bylo v každé jazykové variaci zastoupeno jedno periodikum serióznějšího charakteru a jedno periodikum bulvárnějšího charakteru. Práce se skládá ze tří částí. Teoretická část představuje pojmy relevantní pro tuto problematiku a charakterizuje vybraná periodika. Metodologická část vysvětluje koncept kvalitativního výzkumu a metody zakotvené teorie. Hlavní část tvoří analytická pasáž, která popisuje výsledky analýzy a představuje konstruované obrazy rozdělené do čtyř období. V závěru práce je nejdříve provedena komparace českých a německých deníků a v nich vytvářených obrazech. Poté jsou mezi sebou porovnána česká periodika. This thesis deals with the media image of Karel Gott after his death. Selected newspapers are Lidové noviny, Blesk, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and Bild and analysed are 24 days after the announcement of the death of Karel Gott. The aim of the selection of newspapers in both languages was to include one periodical which is considered as quality press and one tabloid. The thesis consist of three parts. The theoretical part explains crucial terms for the analysis and introduces chosen newspapers. The methodological part clarifies the concept of qualitative research and grounded theory. The main part is comprised of the analytical part which describes outcome of the analysis and in four periods presents constructed images of Karel Gott. In conclusion, images created in Czech and German press are compared and subsequently, a comparison between the Czech media is drawn.
