Bakalářská práce mapuje vývoj řeky Moravy a vznik a vývoj města Uherského Hradiště. Dále se věnuje regulaci řeky a zástavbě částí města, které po regulaci vznikly. Jsou zde také popsány záplavy na řece Moravě a Olšavě a rovněž povodeň roku 1997, která zasáhla Uherské Hradiště. S tím souvisí následný popis protipovodňových opatření. V poslední kapitole je navrhnuto, jak lze řeku s městem spojit v dnešní době. This bachelor's thesis maps the development of the Morava river and the origin and development of the town of Uherské Hradiště. It also deals with the regulation of the river and the development of parts of the city that arose after the regulation. There are also described floods on the Morava river and Olšava and then also the flood of 1997, which hit Uherské Hradiště. Related to this is the subsequent description of flood control measures. The last chapter suggests how the river can be connected with the city today.
