Diplomová práce je zaměřena na možnosti zvýšení konkurenceschopnosti malých a středních vinařských podniků v České republice. Primárního výzkumu v podobě dotazníkového šeření se zúčastnilo 77 malých a středních podniků rozdělených dle pravidel soutěže Vinařství roku 2014. Dále byly získány hloubkové rozhovory s finalisty soutěže Vinařství roku 2014 v kategorii malé a střední vinařství tedy s vinařstvím: Kořínek, Špalek, J. Stávek, Sonberk, Vladimír Tetur a Žernoseckým vinařstvím, které slouží k benchmarkingu. Následně je ověřena závislost klíčového faktoru úspěchu malého vínařství know-how, klíčového faktoru úspěchu střed-ních vinařství zvláštního režimu pěstování révy vinné za pomocí Pearsonova Chí-kvadrát testu na hladině významnosti 5 %. V obou případech je zamítnuta nezávislost. Další klíčový faktor úspěchu malých a střední vinařských podniků vlastnictví vinice je ověřen jednostranným testem o relativní četnosti na hladině významnosti 5 %. Kdy více než 60 % MSP působících v oboru považuje vlastnictví vinice za klíčové pro udržení trvale udržitelné konkurenční výhody.
