Keywords: the results of individual methods in the MATLAB environment are shown.; This bachelor thesis deals with the Steffensen method and Steffensen-type methods. The methods themselves are preceded by familiarisation with the problem of solving nonlinear equations and the order of convergence. This thesis presents Newton's interaction method for solving nonlinear equations from which the Steffensen method is derived. Finally; Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá Steffensenovou metodou a metodami Steffensenova typu. Samotným metodám předchází seznámení se s problematikou řešení nelineárních rovnic a řádem konvergence. Je zde uvedena i Newtonova iterační metoda pro řešení nelineárních rovnic; z které je Steffensenova metoda odvozena. Na závěr jsou uvedeny výsledky jednotlivých metod v prostředí MATLAB.
