Diplomová práce se zabývá utvářením mediálního obrazu jedné z nejvýraznějších a nejkontroverznějších postav dnešní politické scény Andreje Babiše v období před volbami do Poslanecké sněmovny Parlamentu České republiky v roce 2017. Na konstrukci mediálního obrazu nahlíží optikou teorie nastolování témat, a to ve dvou různých typech médií, konkrétně v pěti tištěných denících a na facebookové stránce předsedy hnutí ANO. Jejím cílem bylo pomocí navrženého smíšeného výzkumného designu popsat, jak docházelo k utváření mediálního obrazu Andreje Babiše a určit, zda přitom sehrálo roli intermediální nastolování témat. V kvantitativní části výzkumu nejprve pomocí obsahové analýzy došlo k určení a kvantifikování témat, pomocí nichž byl Babiš prezentován v tisku a pomocí nichž se sám (respektive ve spolupráci se svým týmem) prezentoval na Facebooku. Následně bylo vybráno téma s největší relevancí a největší četností výskytu v obou médiích, na němž bylo popsáno, pomocí jakých rámců se mediální obraz Andreje Babiše tvořil, zda se mu dařilo svůj obraz ovlivňovat a jakou roli v celém procesu sehrálo intermediální nastolování témat. Klíčová slova Andrej Babiš, nastolování témat, tištěné deníky, Facebook, budování mediálního obrazu The Master's thesis focuses on the creation of the media image of one of the most distinctive and controversial current Czech politicians, Andrej Babiš, in the period prior to the 2017 general elections in the Czech Republic. The media image building process is viewed through the lens of agenda-setting theory in major daily newspapers and the Facebook page of ANO, Mr. Babiš's party. The aim of the thesis is to use mixed research to describe the creation of Mr. Babiš's media persona and to determine whether media discourse was influenced by intermedia agenda-setting process. In the quantitative analysis of this research, the volume and content of topics established by Mr. Babiš's media activity will be explored. The topic with the greatest relevancy and frequency will be used to determine the framework of the creation of Mr. Babiš's media image, discuss to what extent Mr. Babiš managed to control the outcome, and what role was played by the intermedia agenda-setting process.
