The paper presents utilization of Digital Image Correlation methodology in experimental machanics. Benefits and new possibilities of DIC measurement in comparison with standard methods are presented. Tato práce je věnována aplikaci metody digitální obrazové korelace ve vyhodnocení optických dat získaných během zátěžové tlakové zkoušky a určení modulu pružnosti v tlaku materiálu. Tato metoda umožňuje detekci vad a odchylek zkoušených vzorků, které jsou pohým okem jinak nepostřehnutelné. Je ukázáno, že tyto vady pak mohou vnášet chybu do vyhodnocování modulu pružnosti.
