Tato bakalářská práce se skládá ze dvou částí. První část tvoří překlad vybrané části knihy Edward VII od anglického historika Christopha Hibberta. Druhou částí práce je překladatelský komentář. Komentář obsahuje překladatelskou analýzu výchozího textu, která je provedena pomocí modelu Christiane Nordové. Dále představuje metodu překladu, podle které byl překlad vypracován. Zabývá se též překladatelskými problémy, které bylo třeba řešit, a překladatelskými posuny, ke kterým při překladu došlo. The bachelor thesis consists of two parts. The first part presents a translation of a section from the book Edward VII by Christopher Hibbert, the English historian. The second part is a translation commentary. The commentary includes a translation analysis of the source text based on the model of Christiane Nord, and also the method used in the translation process. In addition, it includes the problems encountered during the translation and the resulting translation shifts.
