Tato práce se zabývá způsoby vyjádření negace v italštině a v češtině a jejich porovnáním v obou jazycích. Teoretická část je založena na syntéze dat z několika českých a italských gramatik a pojednává o prostředcích záporu a o kategoriích, do kterých je negace členěna. Dále pak rozebírá některé jevy negace, jako jsou věty se zápornými kvantifikátory, vícečetná negace, intenzifikace a neutralizace záporu a negativně polaritní výrazy. Praktická část práce pak na základě vyhledávání v italsko-českém korpusu InterCorp zkoumá způsoby užití a české překlady některých italských záporných intenzifikátorů (affatto, mica, punto) a negativního konstruktu non è che. V závěru práce jsou poznatky shrnuty a je nastíněno, do jaké míry se teorie shoduje s výsledky vyhledávání v korpusu. The current thesis deals with the ways of expressing negation in Italian and Czech and with their comparison. The theoretical part is based on synthesized information from several Italian and Czech grammar books and it examines the means of negation and the categories into which negation is divided. Furthermore, this part discusses some negation-related phenomena such as negative quantifiers, multiple negation, intensification and neutralisation of negation, and negative polarity items. The practical part of the thesis, based on data from the Italian-Czech corpus Intercorp, studies the use and Czech translations of several of the Italian negative intensifiers (affatto, mica, punto) and of the negative phrase non è che. In the conclusion of the study, a brief summary of how much theory corresponds to the corpus-research results is provided.
