Text sleduje vznik a vývoj Geografického ústavu na Komenského univerzitě v Bratislavě ve 20. a 30. letech 20. století, spojený s působením českých profesorů, zejména Jiřího Daneše, Františka Štůly a Jiřího Krále; ač etnicky Češi, všichni během bratislavského působení směřovali svůj výzkum k otázkám geografie Slovenska a Podkarpatské Rusi. The text discusses the origins and development of the Geographical Institute at Comenius University in Bratislava in the 1920s and 1930s, coupled with the work of Czech professors, especially Jiří Daneš, František Štůla and Jiří Král; although ethnically Czechs, all during their work in Bratislava were directing their research into the geography of Slovakia and the Sub-Carpathian Russia.
