The aim of this work is to analyze quranic feminist interpretation focusing on controversial verse 4:34. We attempt to demonstrate the way islamic feminist exegets deal with the key concepts of this verse mostly notion of male authority (qiwwama and faddala), female obedience (qanitat) and disobedience (nushuz) and wife beating (idribuhunna) through the islamic feminist hermeneutical principles mainly contextual, holistic and through reexamination of terminology. Particular arguments, approaches and interpretative manoeuvres of feminist Qurʼanic exegesis aiming to legitimize gender egalitarian reading of the Qurʼan and challenging centuries of andocentric exegetical tradition will be examined. Cieľom práce je analyzovať koránsku feministickú interpretáciu so zameraním sa na kontroverzný verš 4:34. Pokúsi sa predstaviť, ako sa prostredníctvom islámsko- feministických hermeneutických princípov, najmä kontextuálneho, holistického a skrze preskúmania terminológie islámske feministické exegétky snažia vysporiadať s kľúčovými konceptmi tohto verša, predovšetkým mužskou autoritou (qiwwama a faddala), ženskou poslušnosťou (qánitát) a neposlušnosťou (nušúz) a bitím žien (idribúhunna). Bude skúmať jednotlivé argumenty, prístupy a interpretatívne manévre feministickej koránskej exegézy usilujúce legitimizovať rodovo rovnostárske čítanie Koránu v snahe prekonať stáročia androcentrickej exegetickej tradície.
