V květnu 2017 byl ve výzkumu Naše společnost každoroční blok otázek na téma energetiky mimořádně rozšířen o některé speciální otázky. Výzkum se kromě jiného zabýval tím, jak se bude do budoucna vyvíjet spotřeba elektrické energie u nás a zda je či není možné nahradit výrobu elektrické energie z klasických zdrojů alternativními zdroji. Dále výzkum zjišťoval názory na to, jak šetrná k životnímu prostředí je výroba elektrické energie z některých zdrojů. Šetření rovněž zkoumalo přijatelnost, či nepřijatelnost růstu cen energií v souvslosti s finanční podporou jejich výroby z obnovitelných zdrojů. In May 2017 a survey of the Public Opinion Research Centre focused on issue of power engineering. The survey dealt with a question of the future development of electricity consumption in the country, and whether or not it is possible to replace the production of electricity from conventional sources with alternative sources. Furthermore, the survey has found out how environmentally friendly the production of electricity is from some sources according to general public. The investigation also examined the acceptability or unacceptability of the rise in energy prices in consequence of the financial support of their production from renewable sources.
