As can be seen in the title, my bachelor thesis concentrates on the life of the German composer Robert Schumann and on his Piano Sonata in f sharp minor, wherein a considerable part is dedicated to the analysis of this sonata and its interpretation performed by word-famous pianists. While focusing on the life of Robert Schumann, placing the composing of the sonata into historical context was considered.
