(česky) Ve svoji práci se zaměřuji na zobrazení zápasu ve starověkém Egyptě. Věnuji se především výskytu scén ve výzdobě hrobek ze všech hlavních období staroegyptských dějin, průběžně od Předdynastického období až po Pozdní dobu. Prostor je věnován především analýze jejich umístění v rámci hrobek, na stěnách chrámů či na artefaktech a popisu způsobu záznamu daných scén. Jedním z cílů práce je také vyhodnotit význam zápasu ve staroegyptské společnosti a vysvětlit jeho fenomén v kontextu staroegyptské kultury a armády. Na základě této analýzy a zmiňovaných vyobrazeních se pokusím o rekonstrukci staroegyptského zápasu jako sportu včetně nastínění jeho možných pravidel. Součástí práce je i porovnání staroegyptského zápasu s moderními způsoby souboje v dnešním severním Súdánu. Práce obsahuje i stručné shrnutí bádání v oblasti staroegyptského zápasu a egyptského sportu obecně. (inEnglish): This paper is on the wrestling scenes from ancient Egypt, mostly on the decoration of tombs from all the main periods of ancient Egyptian history, from the Pre-dynastic period until the Late period. Discussed scenes are analysed, especially their placement in tombs or walls of the temples or artefacts. Moreover, the way the scenes are realized is also described here. One of the goals is to evaluate the meaning of ancient Egyptian martial art in the context of culture and army. Based on this analysis will be attempted to create a reconstruction of ancient Egyptian wrestling as a sport together with a possible outline of rules. A comparison of ancient Egyptian wrestling to modern form of fight in present-day Sudan will be included in this thesis. Furthermore, the development and present state of the research made in the field of wrestling and sports in ancient Egypt will be presented here.
