Alzheimerova choroba má zásadní dopad na osobu nemocného, protože omezuje jeho schopnost samostatného života. Tato závislost na druhých se dotýká všech členů rodiny, zejména však těch, kteří jsou zapojeni v přímé péči o své blízké. V empirickém šetření jsme chtěli zjistit přítomnost a míru zátěže, úzkosti a deprese u rodinných pečujících, kterým je poskytována odborná nebo psychosociální pomoc. Jedná se o transverzální výzkum u 102 rodinných příslušníků pečujících o blízké trpící diagnostikovanou Alzheimerovou chorobou nebo jinou formou demence. U pečujících osob byla zjišťována míra subjektivní zátěže pomocí Zarit Burden Inventory (ZBI), pro depresi a úzkost byly použity dotazníky Beck Depression Inventory (BDI II), Geriatrická škála deprese (GDS) a Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI), výsledky jsme zpracovali pomocí statistické analýzy a Pearsonova koeficentu korelace. Z výzkumného souboru 83 % pečujících osob tvořily ženy a 62 % pečujících osob bylo starších 50 let. Dle našich zjištění 86 % pečujících osob do dvou let péče a 89 % pečujících dva a více let pociťovalo pečovatelskou zátěž; obě skupiny pečujících dosahovaly úrovně zvýšené anxiozity (89 %) a výrazné anxiozity (9 %); z probandů mladších šedesáti let 72 % pečujících do dvou let péče a 50 % pečujících dva a více let trpělo depresivními... Due to its limiting effects on the independency of life, the Alzheimer's disease has a radical impact on a diseased person. Their dependency on others influences all their family members, though especially those ones, who are taking immediate part in the caregiving for their relatives. The new changes in the family caregivers' lifestyle have an extensive influence on their health and the care about the diseased itself. In this empirical study we intended to examine the presence and the intensity of a burden, an anxiety and a depression among the family caregivers, who are being provided with psychosocial and other professional help. It's a transverse survey among the 102 family caregivers caring for their relatives with diagnosed Alzheimer's disease or some other form of dementia. The caregivers were tested for the level of subjective burden by Zarit Burden Inventory (ZBI) and for the anxiety and the depression by Beck Depression Inventory (BDI II), Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS) and Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI), the results were processed with the statistical analysis and Pearson correlation coefficient.
