Cílem této práce je analyzovat pivovarnický průmysl v Česku v kontextu jeho zapojení do nadnárodních výrobních sítí s využitím přístupu globálních produkčních sítí (GPN). Práce je zaměřena na hodnocení geografické struktury pivovarnického průmyslu v Česku, na význam dopadů zahraničních investic v tomto odvětví a zejména na hodnocení zapojení českých pivovarů do GPN. V návaznosti na tyto okruhy výzkumu se práce soustředí na porovnání stavu českého pivovarnictví v transformačním období českého hospodářství a v současnosti. V rámci zvolené metodiky jsou identifikovány a vysvětleny základní procesy koncentrace a dekoncentrace v českém pivovarnictví. Současně jsou stanoveny čtyři stupně zapojení českých pivovarů do GPN. V tomto dělení figurují pivovarské společnosti ovládané zahraničními nadnárodními společnostmi, jejichž působením v prostředí českého pivovarnického průmyslu je podrobně rozebráno. Klíčová slova: pivovarnický průmysl, pivovary, globální produkční sítě, Česko This thesis analyses the Czech brewing industry and its integration in transnational production networks by drawing on the perspective of global production networks (GPNs). It evaluates the geographic structure of the Czech brewing industry, the inflow of foreign direct investment after 1990, and, especially, the integration of Czech breweries into GPNs dominated by foreign transnational corporations. The thesis analyses major changes the Czech brewing industry has experienced during the post-1990 transformation of the Czech economy and presents the current state of the industry from the geographical perspective. The methodological section presents and explains the key processes of concentration and de- concentration. The thesis identifies the four different forms of involvement of Czech breweries in GPNs in the brewing industry. The role of foreign lead firms in the Czech brewing industry is analysed in detail.
