Abstract: Práce analyzuje Ještěd a jeho okolí z hlediska cestovního ruchu a v souvislosti s jeho budoucí nominací na zápis do Seznamu UNESCO. Vedle Ještědu samotného se zabývá také významem cestovního ruchu ve světovém hospodářství a pozicí cestovního ruchu v Libereckém kraji. Dále podrobněji analyzuje cestovní ruch v Liberci a fungování mezinárodní vládní organizace UNESCO.
