Práce poskytuje komplexní pohled na pražskou okrajovou obec Bohnice. Zachycuje její tvář od prvního osídlení po současnost. Při tom se zaměřuje na historické a socioekonomické události, které obec utvářely. Vzhledem k nedostatku písemných zdrojů k historické části práce a ke skutečnosti, že je obec až příliš často "redukována" pouze na činnost Psychiatrické léčebny Bohnice, se studie zabývá především formováním obce ve 20. století, přičemž se soustředí na instituce sociální a zdravotnické péče, které jsou svým významem srovnatelné s proslulým ústavem. Práce také poskytuje informace o urbanistickém konceptu Sídliště Bohnice, včetně řešení dopravní obslužnosti v průběhu minulého století. Z tohoto období jsou také zmiňovány architektonicky zajímavé a významné stavby obce. The thesis brings a global insight into the Prague's suburb of Bohnice. Captures the appearance since the first settlements until nowadays. Focusing mainly on both historical and socio-economical milestones, which created the city. According to the lack of written resources for the historical part of the theses and to the fact, that Bohnice are often reduced to the activities of the famous mental institution, the main target is the forming of Bohnice city in the 20th century. Concentrates on institutions of both social and health care, which can compete the famous mental institution. The thesis also supplies materials about the urban concept of the housing estate of Bohnice including the traffic solutions through the past century. Points out also outstanding architectural solitaires.
