Abstract: Numerical solution of the 3D Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes equation is based on FEM. The turbulence is modelled through the high Reynolds number k-epsilon model. The cavitation region is modelled as a region of the lower density . The local radius of cavitating bubbles is obtained as a solution of Rayleigh-Plesset equation. The flow past the blades of an axial flow mixer is calculated.
