Abstract: Práce podává přehled současného stavu kryptografie v prostředí Internetu. Zaměřuje se hlavně na kryptologickou ochranu dat. Obsahuje popis možných hrozeb internetové komunikace a možností, jak jim zabránit. Jádro práce tvoří přehled kryptografických algoritmů a jejich konkrétních implementací. Zvýšená pozornost je věnována elektronickému podpisu a certifikačním autoritám.
