Abstract: Secondary phase precipitates in CSN 42 2740 and 42 2747 steels were studied by means of analytical transmission electron microscopy. The composition of primary VC and M7C3 precipitates was found relatively stable throughout the time series and less sensitive to nominal alloy composition (differin principally in Mo and W content for the two studied alloys) compared to the secondary VC and Mo2C precipitates.
