This thesis describes implementation and testing of a Linux library, created for providing an abstraction layer between a user and the Intel's RdRand instruction (Ivy Bridge RNG). The instruction itself is briefly described and some of its properties are tested, like cryptographic strength of its output and the real speed of the instruction.
