Při pěstování rostlin je větší část jejich biomasy ve formě lignocelulózové složky a bude nutné tuto biomasu znovu transformovat na využitelný zdroj, a to buď za použití ligninolytických hub nebo formou kompostování (kde se opět houby účastní). The experimental mycology has distinguished from the "classic" mycology that has been mainly directed to the taxonomy and systematic of fungi. The origin, current state and possible future development of the research field of experimental mycology is described in the lecture.
