Vzájemné obohacování států pomocí působení jejich specifické kultury patří k nedocenitelným způsobům, jak navazovat a udržovat přátelské vztahy mezi státy napříč mezinárodním společenstvím, což je zároveň hlavní úkol kulturní diplomacie. Jako stěžejní nástroj kulturní diplomacie České republiky je využívána síť Českých center. Cílem této práce je definice a zhodnocení české kulturní diplomacie v kontextu česko-rakouských vztahů. V práci jsou tedy rozebírány aktuální kulturní vazby mezi oběma státy. Dále je pozornost věnována především Českému centru Vídeň, jeho organizaci, iniciativám, aktivitám a současným činnostem. Mutual enrichment of states by sharing their unique cultures is a priceless means of connecting and maintaining friendly relationships between states and across the international community, which is at the same time the main task of cultural diplomacy. This principal tool of Czech cultural diplomacy is used throughout the network of Czech Centers. The aim of this thesis is to define and provide an evaluation of Czech cultural diplomacy in the context of Czech-Austrian cultural relations. In this thesis, current cultural bonds between both of the states are examined. Furthermore, the core of this thesis is focused on the Czech Center in Vienna, its organization, initiatives, operations and contemporary activities.
