Cylindrical metallic shell subjected to localized impact loading evoking wave response was considered. The paper compares experimental and numerical responses with the intention to discuss the accuracy limits of experimental and numerical approaches. Vyšetřuje se kovová skořepina válcového tvaru, podrobovaná soustředěnému rázovému zatížení, budícímu v ní vlnové procesy. Porovnávají se experimentálně a výpočtově stanovované odezvy na taková zatížení a jsou diskutovány limity přesnosti obou přístupů.
