Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na téma z oblasti informatiky, a tím je Competitive Intelligence. Jejím cílem je aplikace Competitive Intelligence ve středně velkém podniku. K tomu, abychom mohli aplikaci provést, je nejprve nutné pojem Competitive Intelligence (dále jen CI) definovat, aby čtenář pochopil, co tento pojem představuje a kde se uplatňuje. Hlavním přínosem by mělo být přiblížení fungování CI ve středně velkém podniku. Tato práce se skládá ze 4 částí. První z nich je zaměřena na obecnou charakteristiku Competitive Intelligence. Součástí je jednak definování pojmu, dále se pak zabývá historií, důvodem vzniku CI, jeho dělením podle určitých příznaků a představením základního kamene CI. V dalších částech se zaměřuji nejprve na definování Business Intelligence (dále jen BI), které často bývá s CI spojováno. Samotný rozbor BI není podstatou této práce, proto je tato část sepsána stručněji. Její nejpřínosnější částí je poslední část, kde je rozebrán vztah BI a CI. Následuje část, ve které jsou popsány 3 současné trendy v CI. V poslední části nejprve najdeme charakteristiku středně velkého podniku, dále jeho prostředí, ve kterém podniká a jeho požadavky či omezení na CI. Dále se pak zaměřuji na aplikování teoretických znalostí na tento podnik. This bachelor thesis is focused on a theme of informatics, which is the Competitive Intelligence. Its aim is to apply Competitive Intelligence in medium-sized enterprise. It is necessary to define Competitive Intelligence in order to make this application possible so that the reader understands what the term represents and where it applies. The main benefit would be to demonstrate how CI works in medium-sized enterprise. This thesis consists of 4 sections. The first one is focused on the general characteristics of Competitive Intelligence (hereinafter CI). The first part of this section is the definition of the term CI, and then it deals with its history, the reason for establishing CI and its division according to certain symptoms and performance of base of CI. In the next sections, we first focus on the definition of the term Business Intelligence (hereinafter BI), which is often associated with CI. BI analysis is not the basis of this work, so this section is written briefly. Its most valuable part is the last one, where the relationship between BI and CI is broken down. In the following section, three recent trends in CI are described. In the last section we can find the characteristics of a medium-sized enterprise, as well as its business environment in which it operates and its requirements or restrictions on CI. Then I focus on applying theoretical knowledge to this enterprise.
