Tato bakalářská práce popisuje teoretické základy funkcí OLAP (OnLine Analytical Processing) databází a především se věnuje praktickému využití aplikace Microsoft Office Excel 2007 pro analýzu dat uložených v OLAP databázích. Cílem práce je popsat, jaké možnosti Excel pro práci s OLAP databázemi nabízí a jak při práci s těmito databázemi postupovat. Práce s OLAP databázemi je demonstrována praktickými ukázkami na vzorové databázi. Tato práce může sloužit jako návod pro uživatele, kteří s problematikou OLAP databází ještě nejsou seznámeni a chtěli by Excel pro účel analýzy dat z OLAP databází použít. This bachelor thesis describes theoretical basis of OLAP (OnLine Analytical Processing) databases and focuses primarily on a practical use of Microsoft Office Excel 2007 for analysis of the data stored in OLAP databases. The aim of thesis is to describe, what possibilities Excel provides for the work with OLAP databases, and what is the working procedure of such work. Work of Excel with OLAP databases is demonstrated on sample database. This thesis can be used as an user's guide for beginners with no experience in analysis of OLAP databases in Excel.
