Cieľom tejto diplomovej práce je zhodnotiť úlohu Organizácie Spojených národov v izraelsko-palestínskom konflikte. Popisuje postavenie Izraela a Organizácie pre oslobodenie Palestíny v OSN. Tiež overuje akcieschopnosť a objektivitu OSN v riešení konfliktu. Izraelsko-palestínsky konflikt bol nepochybne vždy v centre záujmu OSN. Význam organizácie však od 70. rokov klesal. Práca by mala vyhodnodnotiť či dnes OSN ešte prispieva k riešeniu konfliktu a pokiaľ áno, v akých oblastiach. V prvej kapitole sa venujem hlavným nástrojom OSN pre riešenie konfliktov. Druhá kapitola opisuje vznik a priebeh izraelsko-palestínskeho konfliktu počas 20. storočia až dodnes. Posledné tri kapitoly analyzujú tri úrovne aktivít OSN v konflikte - úloha politická, bezpečnostná a humanitárna. Cílem této diplomové práce je zhodnotit úlohu Organizace spojených národů v izraelsko-palestinském konfliktu. Popisuje postaveni Izraele a Organizace pro osvobození Palestiny v OSN. Také ověřuje akceschopnost a objekitvitu OSN v řešení konfliktu. Izraelsko-palestinský konflikt byl nepochybně vždy v centru zájmu OSN. Význam organizace však od 70. let klesal. Práce by měla vyhodnotit zda dnes OSN ještě přispívá k řešení konfliktu a pokud ano, v jakých oblastech. V první kapitole se věnuji hlavním nástrojům OSN pro řešení konfliktů. Druhá kapitola popisuje vznik a průběh izraelsko-palestinského konfliktu počas 20. století až dodnes. Zbylé tři kapitoly analyzují tři úrovně aktivit OSN v konfliktu - úloha politická, bezpečnostní a humanitární. The aim of this diploma thesis is to evaluate the role of the United Nations Organization in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. It describes the positions of both the State of Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization in the United Nations. The thesis furthermore assesses reactivity and objectiveness of UN in this conflict. There are no doubts that the conflict has always been in the centre of interest of the United Nations. However, the importance of UN is perceived to be decreasing since the 70's. This paper evaluates whether UN is still contributing to the resolution of the conflict and if yes, in what particular fields. In the first chapter I discuss the main conflict resolution instruments available to UN. The second chapter describes the origins and the course of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict throughout the 20th century leading to the current situation. The last three chapters present an analysis of three levels of UN activities in the conflict - political, security and humanitarian.
