Diplomová práce se věnuje problematice jedné z nejzávažnějších chorob 21. století. Diabetes mellitus je onemocnění, kterým trpí miliony lidí na celém světě. Práce je rozdělena do dvou hlavních celků. První část je věnována základním teoretickým poznatkům o této nemoci. Zabývá se historií, klasifikací diabetu a jeho terapii. Dále se zabývá komplikacemi s diabetem spojenými a také edukací diabetiků samotných. Druhá část obsahuje praktickou ukázku chodu diabetologické ambulance. Cílem této práce je odhadnout náklady na terapii diabetes mellitus I. a II. typu a odhadnout náklady na terapii pozdních komplikací této nemoci. This thesis is devoted to one of the most serious diseases of the 21st century. Diabetes mellitus is a disease which affects millions of people around the world. The work is divided into two main units. The first part deals with basic theoretical knowledge about this disease. It deals with the history, classification of diabetes and its treatment. Also deals with the complications associated with diabetes and diabetic educating themselves. The second section provides a practical demonstration run diabetes clinic. The aim of this work is to estimate the cost of treatment of diabetes mellitus I. and II. type and estimated cost of the treatment of late complications of the disease.
