Diplomová práce se zabývá změnami politických režimů v rámci Arabského jara 2011 na příkladu Tuniska, Egypta a Sýrie. Cílem práce je určit faktory, které jsou důvodem různé rychlosti a efektivnosti zavádění politických reforem. Zasazení do teoretické roviny je provedeno na základě charakteristik nedemokratických režimů, teorie přechodů k demokracii a demokracie samotné. Každá země je poté představena z hlediska historického vývoje, přičemž důraz je dán na události 20. století, zejména povahu a způsob vlády nyní odstraňovaných režimů. Metodou analyticko -- syntetickou jsou na základě historických, politických a socioekonomických faktorů ovlivňujících vnitropolitickou situaci ve zkoumaných zemích odvozeny skutečnosti způsobující různě kvalitní přechody srovnávaných zemí k novému politickému systému. The diploma thesis deals with the regime change in the context of the Arab Spring 2011 with focus on Tunisia, Egypt and Syria. The aim of the thesis is to determine factors causing different progress towards political reforms in each country. Theoretical framework is provided by characteristics of undemocratic regimes, transitions to democracy and democracy itself. Each country is introduced from the historical point of view with focus on the 20th century, especially current methods of the governance. Several conclusions are made based on analytical -- synthetical method of reviewing historical, political and socioeconomical factors determining the domestic situation in compared countries and explaining their influence on different transition progress towards the new political system.
