The paper examines economic growth in the Czech and Slovak Republic from 2000 to 2011. The analysis has shown that the economic growth of the countries is similar. In Czech and Slovak Republic the main driving force of macroeconomic total factor productivity manufacturing industry, that has been holding almost the same share for whole reporting period. The structure of final consumption of households has been retaining almost the same character. The growth of RGDI has not been as steady as GDP, especially in the last few years.
