V další části charakterizuje Mezinárodní měnový fond a Federální rezervní systém, instituce, které hrají důležitou roli z pohledu celosvětového hospodářského systému. Celá následující kapitola zkoumá příčiny, projevy a průběh americké hypotéční krize a celosvětové následky z ní vyplývající. Naznačuje souvislosti mezi současnou krizí a stavem české ekonomiky. Celek uzavírá část poukazující na obtížnost predikce finančních krizí a analyzující možná preventivní opatření.This bachelor work is concerned with a broad issue of financial crisis. The basic types of financial crises and their trends are defined. The next part of this work characterizes the International Monetary Fund and the Federal Reserve System -- the institutions playing an important role in the worldwide economic system. The third part illustrates the anatomy of the Mexican debt crisis of 1994--1995, and also the currency crisis in South and South-East Asia (1997--1998) with respect to the role of IMF. Finally, the Argentinian crisis (2001--2002) is dealt with. The next chapter explores the causes of the American mortgage crisis, its exteriorities, development and the following worldwide consequences. This work also remembers the Czech bank crisis and implies the connections between the current crisis and the Czech economic situation. The work concludes with a chapter pointing out the difficulties in financial crises prediction, and analyzing the possible precautionary measures.
