I přes obrovskou finanční podporu mezinárodního společenství neprobíhá postkonfliktní rekonstrukce v Afghánistánu podle očekávání. Pomoc se kvůli nestabilní situaci, vysoké míře korupce a neefektivitě státní administrativy nedostává těm, kterým je primárně určena, tedy nejchudším obyvatelům země. V této souvislosti se mikrofinance, resp. mikroúvěry, jeví jako vhodný komplementární nástroj ekonomické obnovy, neboť umožňují přístup k finančním prostředkům právě těm nejchudším. Práce si klade za cíl zhodnotit, zda Afghánistán splňuje předem stanovené podmínky pro úspěšnou implementaci mikrofinancí, a to s využitím základních poznatků o postkonfliktní rekonstrukci a možném přínosu mikrofinancí. Despite the huge financial contribution of the international community the postconflict reconstruction in Afghanistan does not proceed within the initial expectations. Due to unstable situation, high level of corruption and inefficient state administration, the help does not flow to the ones, whom it is determined in the first place - the poorest habitants of the country. In this context the microfinance, resp. the microcredits, seem to be the right complementary tool of economic reconstruction as they provide the poorest with the access to the financial resources. The aim of this thesis is to assess, if Afganistan meets pre-defined conditions of a successful implementation of microfinance by using fundamental knowledge of postconflict reconstruction and possible contribution of microfinance.
