Tato práce se zabývá energetikou v EU a klade si za cíl zanalyzovat základní energetické zdroje a jejich vlastnosti, zhodnotit aktuální situaci v energetice na území EU jako celku a ve vybraných členských státech a nastínit možnosti budoucího vývoje. Práce dále zkoumá problémy, kterým musí EU v oblasti energetiky čelit. Cílem je rovněž upozornit na nové možnosti energetiky, které přináší pokrok ve vědě a výzkumu. This thesis deals with power engineering in the EU and aims to analyze energy resources and their characteristics, assess the current situation in the energy sector in the EU as a whole and in selected member states and outline possible future developments. The thesis studies problems that the EU must face in the field of power engineering too. The aim is also to point out new possibilities in power engineering, which are possible thanks to the progress in science and research.
