Předkládaná bakalářská práce se věnuje postavení Rakouska na mezinárodním poli ve 20. století. Cílem práce je analyzovat proměnu tohoto postavení v mezinárodním kontextu - po první světové válce byl z centrální země habsburské říše vytvořen malý chudý stát, který se už po dvaceti letech své existence stal součástí německé Říše. Ačkoliv bylo Rakousko v roce 1945 osvobozeno, teprve až v roce 1955 byla podepsána Státní smlouva, navracející zemi suverenitu a ukončující období spojenecké okupace. S tímto rokem se také spojuje počátek moderní historie rakouského státu. Práce je rozčleněna do 4 částí. První kapitola se věnuje vývoji Rakouska do 2. světové války, druhá mapuje válečné období ve vztahu k vyjednávání o budoucím osudu země až po poválečnou situaci, kapitola třetí se zabývá aspekty deseti okupačních let a úsilí o dosažení shody v otázce Státní smlouvy. Závěrečná kapitola pak shrnuje zákon o neutralitě, politiku neutrality, zahraniční politiku i snahy o začlenění do evropských integračních seskupení. This bachelor thesis reports on the position of Austria in international relations in the 20th century. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the change in its position in the international framework: after World War I, the Central state of the Habsburg empire was reduced to a poor small country which became a part of Nazi Germany after twenty years of its existence. Even though Austria was liberated in 1945, the State treaty restoring the state sovereignty and putting an end to a period of allied occupation was signed at as late a date as 1955. This year in recourse signifies the beginning of Austria's modern history. The thesis is divided into 4 chapters. The first chapter maps the development of Austria until the beginning of World War II, the second one deals with the war time in relation to the negotiations about the future shape of the country and the post-war situation. The third chapter is focused on the ten years of occupation and the struggle over the State Treaty. The last chapter analyzes the Declaration of Neutrality, the policy of neutrality, foreign policy as well as the efforts to participate in the European integration process.
