Title: Evaluation of physiotherapeutical effect in patients after bariatric surgery. Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the effect of physiotherapy (aerobic and anaerobic training) on weight reduction (body composition), quality of life and response to load (affecting VO2 max) in patients after bariatric surgery. After the evaluation of results, I would like to use the study to improve the quality of follow-up care in patients after bariatric surgery. Methods: In this study the search method of available Czech and mainly foreign sources was used. Furthermore, the InBody was used to measure body weight and body composition. For the evaluation of quality of life the standardized questionnaire IWQOL - Lite (HRQoL) was used and the six-minute walk test and spiroergometry were used for the evaluation of response to exercise (VO2 max). Additionally, the spiroergometry evaluated an influence on VO2 max and overall condition in patients after bariatric surgery. The age range of probands was 50 to 64 years. For the analysis of final values a software Microsoft Excel 2007 was used. Results: Two probands participated in the research, one of whom was a woman and one was a man of age 50 and 64 years. One of the probands (proband A) was measured before and after the three-months movement...
Nutrition at sports with weight categories
Žabová, Anna ; Vilikus, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Tuka, Vladimír (referee)
This bachelor thesis is focused on diets in sports with weight categories. The main goal is to find out about the diets of the professional athletes before the official weighting, what methods of weight reduction these athletes use and whether they experience any negative effects of the diet on their health. Theoretical part focuses on the information about weight categories, nutrition recommendations for particular athletes, forms of weight reduction and human body composition analysis. The practical part is divided into two researches. The first research is carried out in the form of a quantitative questionnaire, in which the respondents provide information on dietary habits and their presence in the weight category. The second research focuses on five light-weight rowers, whose body composition information is compared in the non-competitive and competitive period. The questionnaire has been filled in by 103 competitors from 9 different sports with weight categories. Some outputs are quite worrying, or even alarming. Only less than one third of the respondents races in their category without major weight fluctuations or greater dietary restrictions. Comparing the data from both measurements of the body composition of the athlete (out of season and before the race) turned out as expected with only...

Title: Change of life quality in people undergoing the organized reduction program Objective: The work objective is to find out a possible change of life quality after undergoing a three-month reduction course which consists of aerobic exercise and circuit training, as well as group work under the guidance of an instructor. Methods: The data will be collected through the SF36 questionnaire. In the first phase of the project, the course participants will fill out a questionnaire which will be handed over to them before the commencement of the reduction program. In the second part of the project, the participants will fill out the same questionnaire after undergoing the course. Subsequently, I will analyse the results and assess the success rate of the program. Method - questionnaire survey. Results: After undergoing a three-month reduction program, there were positive changes in quality of life. The effectiveness of the influence of the three-month reduction programme is seen primarily in the improvement of the psychological side of the individual. I find the lack of this study in a small set of probands, so I do not consider the results could be generalised. Keywords: Obesity, physical activity, BMI, weight loss, methods of treating obesity
Energy balance and its influential factors
Staufčíková, Tereza ; Bartošová, Ladislava (advisor) ; Spáčilová, Jana (referee)
The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the issue of energy balance. Principles of its regulation and factors that affect it through energy intake or energy output are described in the thesis. It also describes methods of measuring and calculating energy output for proper adjustment of energy needs and achieving energy balance. In addition, the thesis presents energy needs in in specific life stages and pathological conditions that may occur during prolonged disruption of the energy balance. Both physiological and pharmacological factors which may impact energy metabolism are mentioned. The main objective of the practical part was to analyze freely available articles on the Internet providing different ways of weight reduction. The articles were subjected to a critical assessment from the point of view of a nutritional therapist and compared with expert studies. The secondary objective was to evaluate the questionnaire which also dealt with weight reduction. The individual responses were focused on the respondents' personal experience with weight loss. The results showed that up to 90 % of respondents attempted to reduce weight and that freely available articles, which do not always provide relevant information, were often used for this purpose. Contact erosion of switching devices
Píška, Jakub ; Šimek, David (referee) ; Valenta, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the erosion of contacts, as one of the negative phenomena affecting contacts of switchgears. In its first part, it briefly summarizes the other negative influences that must be considered when designing switching devices. In the following part, the physical mechanism of erosion and the primary criterion of assessment - weight loss are approached. The last and main part of the work deals with design of the contact system for comparing this loss for for frequently used materials and testing on a real switchgear. After the tests, the results were analyzed primarily from the perspective of ignition angles, the polarities of the current pulse and the current flowing through the arc. Taking into account the influence of the material composition, the size of the contacts and the presence of the arc-runner.
