Primary school teachers attitudes towards inclusive education

The thesis deals with the topic of inclusive education from the perspective of primary school teachers. The aim of this work is to evaluate the attitude of teachers to this issue, to reveal their needs and to propose measures that could satisfy these needs. The thesis contains two main parts: theoretical and practical one. The theoretical part introduces to readers the position of persons with disabilities in the past and in the present and presents a way of anchoring the fundamental rights of these persons in international treaties and legislative actions. Furthermore, the basic concepts related to inclusive education are defined in this section and one chapter is devoted to the teacher himself and the attitudes he develops within the classroom. The research part introduces the researches on a similar topic, describes the methodology used in the survey and presents data obtained through interviews with primary school teachers. The results of the research point out the shortcomings in the way of education of primary school teachers, in particular reveal the absence of interconnection of the teaching and special education fields. Teacher as a victim of aggression

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of aggression aimed at a teacher. The theoretical part offers clarification of terms such as aggression, aggressive behaviour, violence and bullying. Furthermore, in separated chapters it discusses in detail the individual possible aggressors, to which belong pupils, parents, colleagues or principals. It focuses on their specifics related to teacher's attacks. The basis of the practical part is designed research realized by quantitative method. The research examined the experience of teachers from chosen elementary schools in Ústí nad Labem region with aggression towards them. Specifically, it dealt with broadening of aggression against teachers, mentioned forms and aggressors. The teachers also had the opportunity to describe their experience which they find as the most serious one. The results are alarming and they call for greater attention whether in the professional or general public. The aim of this thesis is not just being informative, moreover, it should serve as a motivation for further research. The Use of School Historic Atlases in Elementary School Education

The Bachelor thesis is focused on functions and use of school historical atlases. The main goal of the work is aimed to answer the questions: what role do historical atlases play in an education of history, which functions of school historical atlases are used and how do teachers apply them. The work also deals with the difference of the application between teachers with combined specialization in history-geography and history-other subjects. The targets were reached by using the method of card sorting and half-structured interviews with ten teachers. The method of content analysis was applied after the evaluation of results. The research implies that the role of school historical atlases is primarily an extra tool in an education. The main functions of present-day atlases are: illustrating, informing and place orienting. The respondent teachers use school historical atlases in most cases as a basis for their lecture and group work. Nevertheless, they do not use them as homework at all. The application of school historical atlases does not differ in reliance on the teaching specialization. The usage of geoportal and combination with the second teaching subject occurs more frequently by teachers of history-geography.
Teaching assistant and his application in preschool

Diploma thesis "Teaching assistant and his application in preschool" discusses the profession of a teaching assistant, his work in educating not only children with special educational needs, but also children without special educational needs and his collaboration with other educators. It deals with everything that an assistant should do and it also provides a summary of opinions and practical experiences of teaching assistants. The thesis is divided into theoretical part and empirical part. Theoretical part consists of five chapters and research part consists of four chapters. The first chapter defines the concept of a teaching assistant, the second chapter points out the differences between personal assistant, teaching assistant and school assistant. The third chapter is dedicated to the importance of a teaching assistant in inclusive education and the fourth chapter deals with cooperation between teachers and teaching assistants. The thesis named Quality forms of family and kindergarten cooperation deals with the effectiveness leadership of tripartite meetings at a given kindergarten. The theoretical part summarizes subjects such as cooperation, communication, representation of coopration with the family in Framework Education Programme for pre-school and primary education or the portfolio. The practical part consists of the research carried out at a particular school that describes the tripartite leadership, mapping the effectiveness of tripartite meeting with the participation of the child and its portfolio, and at the very end offers further opportunities to engage the activities in tripartite meetings with the support of the portfolio.
Teacher as an Observer of the Pupil's Learning at Montessori School

This thesis deals with observation of pupil in Montessori system which was designed by Maria Montessori. One of the principles this education is individual approach of the teacher to the student and respecting his learning pace. Thus the teacher becomes an observer who must know he level of education of each pupil in his mixed class. But how to map individual student progress? The aim of the thesis is to describe and analyze the way and the importance of observation as professional activity of a teacher teaching in a heterogeneous class in Montessori school and to assess the possibilities of modifying observations for classical primary schools. The first part of the thesis describes alternative schools and the characteristics of Montessori pedagogy as an introduction to the main principles of the examined environment of the practical part. It also describes the pupil and teacher as the main participants in the educational process and describe their role in this alternative type of education. Primary school teacher in an excluded location

The work of teacher in excluded localities with Romany pupils is demanding, it requires a high degree of resilience, adaptability, perseverance and resilience. Children growing up in an environment of social exclusion have acquired values, habits and behavior patterns that make it more difficult for them to integrate into the school environment. A teacher from an excluded location should understand the acting and behavior of Romany pupils and help these pupils to successfully master the educational process. The aim of my work is to find out the specifics of the teacher's work in the excluded locality. The qualitatively oriented research is focused on the problems, that teachers face from Roman pupils in their education in excluded localities, their opinions on the education of Romany pupils and on their motivation to educate these pupils in an excluded location. Data are obtained using semi-structured interviews with teachers from excluded localities. The conclusion of my work is a discussion of the research results, where the information from the professional literature is compared with my personal experience and the respondents' testimonies. Teacher burnout syndrome in the context of helping professions

Pedagogical staff is one of the most burdened professions of stress and burnout syndrome. In order to eliminate the symptoms leading to the burnout syndrome, the correct and timely intervention of the manager, as the director, is necessary. The aim of this thesis is to describe in detail the burnout syndrome in assisting professions focusing on the teacher profession and on the basis of his own in-depth case study to identify the main causes of burnout syndrome in teachers and to propose preventive measures from a managerial point of view. Therefore, the work is the task of the investigation to draw up measures for the director, as the manager to lead them to eliminate this negative phenomenon at his workplace. The theoretical part also deals with stress and depression, which are concepts related to burnout syndrome. The phases of the burnout syndrome are described and analyzed in detail, and the theoretical part deals with the burnout syndrome in detail with the teacher. In the analytical part, questionnaire survey is presented in the general plane and questionnaire survey in the subjective plane.
