Therefore, the aim of this research was to analyze the existing system of formal support for parents with intellectual disabilities. The author also examined how social workers are prepared to work with this group of parents. Last but not least, the aim of this research study was to analyze the experience of parents with intellectual disabilities with formal support. In order to conduct such a comprehensive research study, the author used a mixed method research approach. A sibling' s life with a child who has one of a type of an autismus
MICHALCOVÁ, Šárka
The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to analyse and describe the social aspects of the sibling of a child with an autism spectrum disorder (further referred as ASD). It describes how the implementation of care for a child with ASD through social services acts on a healthy sibling or whether he/she is involved in care in some way. Furthermore, this thesis deals with the financial side of the family. To what extent does a child with a disability, specifically a child with an ASD, influence a healthy sibling within the redistribution of funds. The qualitative research used techniques - semi-structured interview and focus group. The semi-structured interview is carried out with healthy siblings of children with ASD and their mothers took part in the focus group. Thanks to these techniques it was possible to conclude that a healthy sibling is not only neglected by society but also by parents. They unconsciously put pressure on their healthy children about the autonomy and future care of their sibling with ASD. The practical part presents the results in the form of open coding and categorization. The results show that siblings of children with ASD are heavily influenced and restricted. Parents put great emphasis on making everything fit for their children with disabilities and making their healthy children as independent as possible. From the results of interviews with healthy siblings, they feel like their "half parents" towards their siblings with ASD and they are aware of their concession in all respects.

VLNÍČKOVÁ, Helena
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to map the training (possibilities of education, professional competence, knowledge, skills, competence) in the field of canine therapy in the Czech Republic and to propose requirements for the performance of the profession of canine therapist in social services. The first partial aim is to find out what are the current requirements for education and training in the field of canine therapy, which is provided in social services. The second partial aim is to define the profession of canine therapist and propose qualification requirements, requirements for education and supervision for the performance of the profession of canine therapist. The thesis is divided into two parts, the theoretical part and the practical one. The theoretical part contains two main chapters. The first chapter defines the concepts of canine therapy and requirements for providing canine therapy in social services. The second chapter of this section contains requirements for education and training in canine therapy. In the practical part there are two main research questions defined and two main research questions are defined for each main research question. The research was realized by qualitative research strategy, questioning method and semi-controlled interview technique. For the interviews there was prepared record sheet with questions divided into 4 circuits. The interviews were conducted with 10 canine therapists who provide canine therapy in social services. As the results of the research confirmed, the training of canine therapy teams is still fragmented. Various canine therapy associations have different requirements for training and testing canine therapeutic teams. Communication partners most often mentioned the requirement for a canine therapist's education to study the humanities. Most often canine therapists participate in supervision either in the canine therapy association or in the supervision within their profession. The results also showed that the canine therapist should be empathetic, flexible, adaptable and creative. From the skills, the canine therapists most often defined excellent communication skills, cynological skills and the ability to devise a program for the clients that will interest them. For the performance of canine therapy, the most frequently defined knowledge was in the field of social work, knowledge of the target group and its specific needs and perfectly know your dog. Canine therapists have also agreed on the need for experience from the helping profession. They believe that an umbrella organization could help to unify the rules. The bachelor thesis can be used for both the professional and general public. The results can be used for non-governmental non-profit organizations that are currently seeking to include a canine therapist between the profession and the occupation of the labour market.
Social Services for Homeless People from Employees' Perspective
PĚKNICOVÁ, Barbora
This thesis deals with social services for homeless people from the perspective of their employees. The aim of this paper is to chart the barriers which influence providing social services to homeless people. The main question is asked about what barriers are perceived by social workers whilst working with the homeless. This is followed by four subquestions concerning the ways in which the employees perceive the barriers from their personal, the users' and the society's perspective as well as regarding the employees' work environment. In the theoretical part, the following terms are defined: homelessness, social work with homeless people, social services for the homeless. Furthermore, selected organizations helping the homeless are mentioned. The research is described in the empirical part of the thesis, including the hypotheses, research questions, methodology and results. The research utilizes qualitative methods, survey methodology and the semi-structured interview method. The basic data sample has been comprised of social workers employed in registered social services for the homeless in the town of České Budějovice. The final results show that there is a large number of barriers in all the aforementioned areas. Some of them are e.g. the clients' psychical difficulties, their addiction to alcohol and drugs. According to the social workers, a significant barrier are some prejudices of the society. The homeless are often perceived as the main instigators of their current situation, who do not want to find a solution to the problem, and they are judged by their appearance. Furthermore, the research has shown that, from the social worker's experience, the society's perception of the social services for the homeless and the profession of social workers is rather negative. Other barriers are observed by the social workers in their working environment, primarily in equipment and working space. The workers do not feel as unsafe while working as it may seem, however they sometimes feel helpless and disappointed when their clients do not do what they should. Other barriers found include system barriers connected to deficiencies in providing medical care and deficiencies in social services for homeless people. The results of this thesis can serve as a complementary study material, as feedback for social workers, or as a basis of improving a specific service to a provider of social services.
