The Game in the Filosofical and Pedagogical Reflection and Use of Simulation Games in Social Sciences Teaching
Němcová, Lenka ; Zicha, Zbyněk (advisor) ; Pelcová, Naděžda (referee)
This diploma thesis focuses on the issue of human game, from several points of view, namely philosophical, pedagogical and didactic. The work is structured into three parts. The theoretical part deals with the philosophical considerations concerning the game phenomenon, where the game is based mainly on the ontological principle and the game theory, which is analyzed by selected authors. The second part then deals with the game used in the pedagogical processes, or the game as a teaching method in the field of social science and its importance in teaching at primary and secondary schools. The practical part is focused on simulation games implementation within the social science - education.
Simulations of open-ended evolution
Prax, Sebastian ; Toman, Jan (advisor) ; Tureček, Petr (referee)
Evolutionary algorithms are used to solve a number of optimization problems in the computer science. At the same time, they are fundamental pillar for creating evolutionary simulations and testing scientific hypotheses in a various areas of theoretical biology. In the first half of my work, I characterize the concept of "open-ended evolution", focus on its connection with the technical side of simulations and introduce readers to the problematics of system simulation. Further on, I deal with the phenomenon of increasing complexity and the idea of "evolutionary progress". All these topics are confronted with various perspectives of researchers in the field of evolutionary biology. In the second half, I summarize the benefits of existing projects for evolutionary biology and applied informatics, as well as the ways in which the simulations of open-ended evolution can be approached. Basically, these projects can be divided into two categories. They are either projects in which individuals develop towards a predefined goal, which is conditioned by a fitness function, or projects of researchers who seek to achieve an open-ended evolution by employing biologically realistic design of the genetic code and environment in conjunction with the absence of a particular attractor in the evolution of virtual...
Study of probe diagnostics of tokamak edge plasma via computer simulation
Podolník, Aleš ; Pánek, Radomír (advisor) ; Cavalier, Jordan (referee) ; Roučka, Štěpán (referee)
The aim of the thesis is to examine plasma-wall interaction using computer modeling. Tokamak- relevant plasma conditions are simulated using the particle-in-cell model family SPICE working in three or two dimensions. SPICE model was upgraded with a parallel Poisson equation solver and a heat equation solver module. Plasma simulation aimed at synthetic Langmuir probe measurements were performed. First set considered a flush-mounted probe and the effect of variable magnetic field angle was studied with aim to compare existing probe data evaluation techniques and assess their operational space, in which the plasma parameters estimation via fit to the current-voltage characteristic is accurate. Second simulation set studied a protruding probe pin. Effective collecting area of such probe was investigated with intentions of density measurement collection. This area was found to be influenced by a combination of two factors. First, the density dampening inside the magnetic pre-sheath of the probe head, and the second, the extension of the area caused by Larmor rotation. A comparison with experimental results obtained at COMPASS tokamak was was performed, confirming these results. Keywords Langmuir probe, simulation, particle-in-cell, tokamak, Poisson equation, COMPASS 1
Modelling of mmWave Propagation Channel for Off-body Communication Scenarios
Navzdory pokrokům v rámci bezdrátových sítí v přímé blízkosti člověka stále systémy 5. generace postrádají dostatečnou šířku pásma a dostatečně nízkou odezvu.
Comparison of Freely Available Simulation Tools
Vysloužil, Robin ; Janoušek, Vladimír (referee) ; Peringer, Petr (advisor)
This thesis compares different freely available simulation tools. The aim of the thesis is to document and compare tools implemented in Modelica, MATLAB and Python. Various simulation models are created for each language. The models were simulated and the results from simulation runs were evaluated.
Modular Simulator of Microcontroller
Vosyka, Pavel ; Janoušek, Vladimír (referee) ; Peringer, Petr (advisor)
In this thesis, free access existing microcontroller simulators were found. A microcontroller simulator with a graphical user interface was developed. The simulator is able to change between different microcontrollers. Surroundings of microcontroller's simulation are made of predefined electrical circuits, which can be arbitrarily connected with the microcontroller. The simulator was implemented and tested. Also, ATmega328p microcontroller was implemented in the simulator.
Generator for simulation of SCADA attacks
Hudec, Jan ; Fujdiak, Radek (referee) ; Blažek, Petr (advisor)
Output of this bachelor’s thesis is an attack generator aimed on IEC 61850 protocol using the libpcap library. Part of the output is also a simulation of devices which are normally present in SCADA systems. Theoretic part aims to explain protocols DNP3, IEC 60870 and IEC 61850 more in-depth and further focus is on the attacks. Practical part contains attack implementation that aim on communication between SCADA units, more precisely on GOOSE and Sampled Values frames. Simulated devices generate this communication using the libiec61850 library. Attacks are aimed on that communication.

Web Simulator of Football Leagues and Championships
Urbanczyk, Martin ; Holkovič, Martin (referee) ; Hynek, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis is about the creation of a simulator of football leagues and championships. I studied the problematics of football competitions and their systems and also about the base of machine learning. There was also an analysis of similar and existing solutions and I took inspiration for my proposal from them. After that, I made the design of the whole simulator structure and of all of its key parts. Then the simulator was implemented and tested. The application allows simulating top five competitions in UEFA club coefficients rating.
