Map skills development in geography lessons

Presented diploma thesis describes the process of map skills development in educational reality. The key element of the thesis composes of teaching reality examination, which has not been explored in connection to map skills before. The reality examination allows us to document current situation in map skills development and to implement possible changes into the process. The main aim of this thesis is to describe various teaching approaches to map skill development in practical use, all documented by video recording which is the main method used for this thesis. Theoretical part defines the term of map skills and their descriptions as well as the personal approach to teaching and its impact on the educational process. The personal approach to teaching is in practice performed by the selection of teaching method and forms which are also discused in this thesis. The practical section of the thesis is dedicated to examination of the cognitive difficultness of tasks assigned by teacher, using the video as a method of the research which eliminates possible misinterpretation. Development of small towns in the Posázaví region

The diploma thesis is concerned with the development of three small towns in the Posázaví region. Development preconditions are evaluated according to the project implementation and financing and the communication of the town council with the public. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate what projects the towns implemented during the monitored period and whether these projects contributed to the town development. In the theoretical part of the thesis are defined various types of functioning of public administration and development factors with the emphasis on human and social capital. Furthermore, the thesis discusses different approaches to strategic planning as a major tool for successful development. The chapter about the budget with the emphasis on subsidies is also included in the theoretical part. Two hypotheses emerged from the theoretical part. Following analyses try to answer these hypotheses. The practical part is gradually divided into primary and secondary analysis. In the secondary analysis, the internal development factors and the realized projects, which were divided into development and maintenance, were evaluated. Progress flexibility lower limbs in rhythmic gymnastics

Title: Progress flexibility lower limbs in rhythmic gymnastics Objectives: The objective of this work is to determine the effectiveness of exercises for the development of flexibility of the lower limbs in modern gymnastics. Designed exercises were practiced 2-3 times a week. As it is a modern gymnastics, girls aged 5-7 were tested. This is because this sport starts in early age and flexibility is the key ability in performance evaluation. The objective was to find out which exercises that were designed were effective. That is, whether the girls have improved over the six months or not. Four measurements were realized, every two months. The first measurement was realized before the start of the exercise, the other two during the training period and the fourth was after 6 months, which was the final measurement. Methods: Four measurments were realized. First before the start of the training mobility plan and then every two months. From the results I calculated the improvement of girls between each measurement and finally also between the first and last measurement. I calculated average values of girls and average values of improvement. I used the field testing methods. Results: In my research I found that girls improved on average over six months. The diploma thesis discusses about the concept of lifelong learning and the effect of education in the life of an individual. The aim is to briefly compare and evaluate lifelong learning opportunities with an emphasis on non-formal education, more specifically on retraining courses. In the diploma thesis, I deal with the strategic management of retraining courses in the field of non-formal education as well as the possibilities of innovation of the courses mentioned. Selected gymnastics exercises for flexibility development of hip joints in karate training

Title: Selected gymnastic exercises for flexibility development of hip joints in karate training Objective: The aim of this thesis is to verify, whether typical gymnastic exercises have an effect on the development of hip joints in a group of karatist with different length of training practice. Methods: This thesis is of quasi-experimental character. 18 probands were intentionally selected from two groups - a group of moderately advanced (10) and a group of advanced (8) aged 6-11 years. Probands have completed a movement program aimed at developing flexibility in the hip joints (static, dynamic and theraband exercises). Meantime all probands underwent initial, first control, second control and output measurements using the SFTR method in the hip joints every four weeks of the movement program. Methods used: Mann-Whitney test, Effect size, SFTR method. Results: In both groups, the joint range in the hip joint was improved, especially in the first control measurement (after static exercises). Overall, there is a slight increase in both groups from input to output for all movements. The effect of the exercise on the mobility of the hip joint was not proved, as well as the effect of different types of exercises in both groups with different length of training practice. Creating snoezelen room for pupils with severe mental and combined disabilities

The thesis deals with the creation of Snoezelen room, its characteristics and properties. He is more closely involved with the creation of snoezelen for pupils with mental and combined disabilities who are trained in special primary schools. The work describes the target group, defines the snoezelen method and describes its origin and development in our country and abroad. The main goal of the thesis is to explain to the reader how the rooms are created and what it is necessary to know before deciding to launch the snoezelen room. This information was used mainly by special teachers who operate snoezelena in facilities where they work in schools. The thesis also touches on the topic of education at special schools, methods of working with these pupils and describes types of expressive therapies, therapies, basal stimulation and sensory stimulation. The thesis also reflects the Snoezelen-MSE qualification course in theory and practice, which was the main source. The output of the thesis is a proposed room model, description of equipment and activities that are suitable for working with disadvantaged pupils.

This bachelor's thesis with the topic "Development of a small family business" will deal with the development of the family restaurant Mazany anděl, located in the city of Brno in the South Moravian region. The intention will be innovations in terms of improvements in the distribution of hot food and bottled wines. The company will be subjected to SWOT analysis, SLEPT analysis, Porter analysis, etc. Conclusion of this work should be the application of improvements and changes in this company.

Implementation of current European principles of public space solutions into Czech cities

The goal of this thesis is to define the current public space of a city and to introduce its main elements and characteristics, also the planning principles of public space and types of public activities of a citizen in a city. The thesis is mainly focusing on the ideas and principles of a Danish architect and urbanist Jan Gehl, after who I am describing types of cities and as well as the analysis of main principles in city planning according to the book Cities for People. It describes the relationship between the citizen and the city and it follows the main questions of creating an ideal public space for its residents and visitors. After the conducted detailed research of a specific place, the thesis establishes positive and negative aspects of the given space and creates a methodology for designing the public space. Thanks to qualitative questionnaires, I evaluated the views of citizens on key questions about the quality of given public space.
