Evaluation of Economy of Selected Non Profit Organization

The bachelor thesis is focused on the evaluation of the economy of a selected allowance organization Maják – leisure center Vyškov. This thesis contains three parts. In the first part of the thesis are elaborated the theoretical basis of the issue. The next part is the analytical part and contains the analysis of costs and revenue and partly modified financial analysis. Conclusion of the bachelor thesis is focused on the evaluation of the organization´s economy and own proposals for solutions.

The bachelor thesis is focused on the evaluation of the economic and fundraising activities of a selected non-governmental non-profit organization, Charita Moravská Třebová. At the beginning of the thesis are determined the goals and applied methodical approaches. The next part includes theoretical approaches required for the processing of the analytical part. This part is followed by the summarization of the development of the economic and fundraising activities and on the grounds of performed analysis are drawed up alternative options for raising funds.

The subject of the diploma thesis „Performance evaluation of a travel agency“ is to analyze the performance of a company providing tourism services. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts and bases for the activities of travel agency and methods of performance evaluation. The analytical part deals with the analysis of the activities of the travel agency including comparison of financial indicators with the competition and industry and evaluation of the performance within the identified activities of the company. In the final part is suggested a way how to increase the performance of the travel agency.
Analysis of Employee Motivation System in Selected Non-profit Organization

The subject of the thesis is to analyse and evaluate the current motivation system of internal and external employees in the non-profit organization Rosice Leisure Center and then suggest measures to improve it. The thesis consists of theoretical, analytical and proposal part. The theoretical part deals with the definition of concepts of non-profit organizations, motivation and their selected forms. The second part includes an analysis of the current situation and evaluation of research focused on the opinion of selected employees. Based on the results, the proposal part includes measures to improve the motivation system.

Title: Establishment of a Non-Profit Organization Providing Sports Activities with Focus on Law and Organizational Structure Targets: The target of the work is to create a guide describing how to proceed with establishment of a non-profit organization providing sport activities from the legal point of view. Another target of the work is a creation or determination of an organizational structure for sport oriented non-profit organization with a membership of up to 100 members. Methods of research: The following methods were used to create a business plan: literature research, document analysis, semi-structured interview with an attorney-at- law relating to issues of establishment of a non-profit organization, semi-structured interview with a bookkeeper of AK Zlín relating to non-profit organization financing and tax issues. Results: The result of the work is a guide describing particular steps of a process relating to establishment of a non-profit organization. The guide includes necessary documentation for establishment of a sport club as a registered association. Title: Aplication of a business plan for the development of Judo Heroes, Institute Objectives: The main goal of this thesis is to apply the business plan to the condition of non-profit organisation Judo Heroes, Institute (JH), so to help the founders or other employees with strategic management or provide a substruction of external fund. Methods: The thesis contains desk research based on data analysis provided by Czech Statistical Office, Judo Heroes, Institute, their founders and Czech Judo Union. Other ressource was data on competitors websites, The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and individual schools. The research in the analysis of direct competition contained 4 competitors, which are (according to criteria set by the author) all direct competitors operating on the market. A simplified SWOT analysis was created for the largest direct competitor. The research in the analysis of indirect competition consists of 374 sports clubs and is based on websites study of all Prague schools, which present the prices on web. The impact of behavioral economics on email fundraising of non profit organization Greenpeace ČR

The aim of this work is to bring new knowledge in the field of behavioral economics and to explore the influence of selected behavioral concepts on fundraising campaigns conducted through e-mail. The thesis first introduces the key aspects of behavioral economics, explains its development throughout history and defines selected behavioral concepts. Then the thesis describes fundraising and its use in nonprofit organizations. The second part of the thesis introduces the case study, which dealt with the application of selected behavioral studies concepts to the e-mailing campaign led by the non-profit organization Greenpeace Czech Republic. The empirical part presents a description of this experiment and an analysis of the results, which revealed that the usage of selected behavioral concepts may be counterproductive under certain conditions.
"Under the skin of your favourite fruit": framing of fair trade by Ekumenická akademie

The aim of the thesis is to describe framing activity of non-profit organization Ekumenická akademie, z.s. that is linked with fair trade movement. It means I want to describe how it strategically constructs a communication made through leaflets that go to existing and potential supporters. The theoretical part focuses on the concept of fair trade movement and its work in the Czech Republic. Then it describes the framing theory, especially core framing tasks that are essential to this thesis. In the methodology, the research methods are explained, which was content analysis of the documents and it also describes the process of the analysis itself. The last part of the thesis describes the results of the research which means how the organization interpreted and constructed the reality with diagnostic, prognostic and motivational framing and thus formed the meaning of the whole communication.
Civic Engagement in Public Policies: The case study of Platform for Social Housing

The topic and general objective of this work is to show how civic engagement functions in public policy, specifically in the social area. Then based on a descriptive case study, a specific objective is the analysis of a non-governmental organization Platform for Social Housing and the specifics of its advocatory function. These phenomena are observed in the context of the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of the work is divided into four chapters covering basic concepts and definitions of concepts. The first chapter specifies the theoretical framework of public policy on the state level, the second chapter does the same for civic society. The third chapter builds on previous chapters and focuses on the relationship between the state and non-governmental organizations, as well as the role of civic engagement in the public policies. The fourth, a more practically-oriented chapter, contains the theoretical framework of lobbying.
