Tomoryová, Bianka ; Sznapková, Radka (referee) ; Vojtová, Lea (advisor) ; Brzoň, Roman (advisor)
The subject of the bachelor thesis is the restoration and new use of the old railway station in Ústí nad Orlicí. The thesis is based on an architectural study created within the subject AG34 in the 3rd year in the winter semester. The bachelor thesis expands the architectural study to Building Permit Documentation and Documentation for Execution of the Project. The railway station is located on the outskirts of the city of Ústí nad Orlicí between the railroad tracks. Surrounded terrain is sloping. The building is bordered by a steep hill from the north and the Tichá Orlica river from the south. The building was built in 1874 and has been declared as a cultural monument in 2010. The main requirement of the investor was to design rentable spaces for the public to support the site recovery. Multifunctional design should attract residents and tourists of all interest and age categories. On the ground floor there is a bicycle rental, an information center, a health food store with home-made products and a café. In the building can also be found a workshop, temporary accommodation, rentable office space and public services such as a hairdresser and a beauty salon. The main idea was to revive the building not only in the interior but also from the exterior. A relaxing and recreational park with a seating area was designed nearby. The walkway in the park is made of prefabricated concrete slabs. The long paving elements have a narrowed end which create a slight transition between the pavement and the greenery. Neither the facade of the building remained without modifications. The appearance of the building was changed by adding a timber framing and by a new glazed facade wall design. The glazed facade wall will allow to use the newly designed winter garden with seating in the winter. The design of timber framing will be done according to the original historical plans and photographs from the time of the construction of the building.

Greguška, Peter ; Teplý, Vladimír (referee) ; Odvárka, Antonín (advisor) ; Brzoň, Roman (advisor)
The theme of the bachelor thesis is concept of the small theatre in the locality of Brno - Střed. The land is situated on the northern slope of Špilberk castle, near to the park Obilní trh, the Ombudsman and the maternity ward of the University hospital Brno. The proposal is based on the character of the land, its strategic location and the purpose of the building. The land is slightly sloping from street line towards the castle. Idea creates a new path that connects the Obilní trh park with the Špilberk park and hold the frontage line of the street in some dynamic way. The entrances to the building are shifted from the frontage line, which is creating a small space for meeting before entering. It also creates the architectural intention of sectionalising mass on many subjects. That is based on the philosophy of the theatre itself - diversity, where every performance is settled in different place, time and location with different people, played by the same actors in the same theatre halls. It is one object divided into 6 parts, which has the task of creating the illusion of a town. There are 2 objects on the land and a car park. For the bachelor thesis, it has been further developed object SO01 - small theatre. It is functional divided into three parts. The first is the main part which serve on cultural activities. After the entrance portal, there is a public locker room, foyer, 2 theatres, 2 exhibition areass, a lecture room and toilets. The second part is a café with public entrance from the outside. Café is connected to the theatre for preparing snacks during events and performance breaks. Third part is theatre facilities with separate entrance for actors and entering supplies. There are 4 cloakrooms, toilets, showers, 2 overhead rooms, storages, test room, office and technical background.

Leitmannová, Barbora ; Žák, Libor (referee) ; Boleslavská, Yvona (advisor) ; Hradil, Dušan (advisor)
This work deals with elaboration of project documentation, adjustments of architectural study and processing architectural detail of a House next to the Kaple svatého Františka z Assisi. The task was to design a polyfunctional building on a corner lot, which is a part of the housing estates of Táborská Street and ends the housing estates of Nezamyslova Street, in the city district Brno-Židenice. The object that would be a part of the Táborská Street housing estate is a five storey building. The ground floor is used for commerce, specifically a library with a coffe shop. The other three stories are dedicated to residential accommodation for young. The first floor contains two smaller and two larger flats, where each of them is composed of two residential compartments and a shared kitchen joined with the living room. One of these flats is barrier-free. Trough the second and third storey pass six duplex flats. The second object that is a part of the Nezamyslova Street housing estate is a three storey building. The ground floor is again used for commerce, specifically a paper shop. The first floor houses one two floor flat and one four room flat. Due to the shortage of parking space an underground parking lot is situated below the objects which is accessed from the Nezamyslova Street.A significant element of this project is an object formed by an intersection of cubical shapes laid partially on the residential objects. This object creates a vertical garden accessible not only to the tenants, but primarily to the public. This object adds an otherwise absent green space in an unconvientional vertical form. It is a two storey object made of a steel contsruction, overgrown by green vines, whose irregularity allows the visitors increased view of the surroundings and at the same time allowing relaxation while surrounded
