Attitude of Czech Public to genetically modified food – April 2019

In April 2019 Public Opinion Research Centre included a block of questions connected to genetically modified food. Specifically, it was investigated whether respondents are familiar with the issue. Respondents commented their interest in genetically modified food. Subsequently, how often respondents monitor data on genetically modifying food or product ingredients on product labels. The last part of the block was a set of statements regarding the safety and moral acceptance of eating such food, scientific knowledge of their impact on human health and the buying genetically modified food.
The lifestyle and physical fitness of older school children
Work is focused on life style and physical activity in older school-age children. The aim of the work is to demonstrate improvement with regular volleyball training. They were used for tampering INDARES test of physical activite and questionnaire of life style. The total number of tested persons was 60 persons.
PCR detection of genetically modified soybean in food and feed

The aim of this thesis was to summarize in the theoretical part the issue of genetic modifications and their main use. Another task was to describe various methods used for detection of genetically modified plant products and their properties. The practical part is focused on the isolation of DNA from various foods and feeds containing soy. Using the PCR method, samples were tested for the presence of soy DNA, the CaMV promoter, and the Roundup resistance transgene. A total of 42 samples were tested and 5 of them contained transgenic soy.
Food Position and habits in the group of second grade students and students of high school on Příbramsku
This bachelor´s thesis deals with the problems of nutrition and eating habits of pubescents and adolescents in Příbram and its surroundings. The theoretical part focuses on nutrition, its basic components, on general principles as well as recommendation including the food pyramid and the healthy eating plate. Furthermore, the bachelor´s thesis focuses on given group of children - on composition of their meals, mistakes in nutrition, diets and its related eating disorders and alternative nutrition. The practical part focuses on questionnaire survey. The survey was made at tree elementary schools and four high schools in Příbram and its surroundings in the period of time from December 2018 until February 2019. The questionnaires included questions concerning eating habits, interests for healthy meals, experience with diets and supportive means, supplements. The total number includes 640 probands, 335 coming from elementary schools and 305 students coming from high schools. Questions and results of the survey are presented chronologically in accordance with sequence in the survey.
The prevalence of nutrition intolerance by the adult population
The Bachelor thesis dealing with the issue of food allergies and intolerance in the adult population. Its divided into theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part the thesis deals with the term food allergy and intolerance as a whole structure. My Bachelor thesis explains their importance, describes their types, manifestations, possibilities of diagnostics and their treatment. The practical part using a questionnaire survey, maps the state of all food allergies and intolerances in the adult population, ascertains their knowledge from the respondents, the most common allergenic foods and their impact on affected individuals and last but not least, the attitude of families to eating habits with regard to allergenic foods. The sample of my 273 respondents showed the fact, that the knowledge of food allergy and nutrition intolerance, is rather below average and may cause food affects to the general public, but almost everyone of the affected people take this problem responsibly.
