Composition of Municipal Waste
Straka, David ; Vavříková, Petra (referee) ; Elbl, Patrik (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the composition of municipal and mixed municipal waste. Introduction of the research part deals with the composition and properties of waste. In the next section, the waste is considered as fuel and compared with conventional solid fuels. The conculusion of the research part is devoted to the research of the waste composition from selected incinerators adn foreign countries. The compulational part of the thesis deals with the determation of energy properties of the waste.
Changes in eating habits of Czech people during a century
Svobodová, Bára ; Váchová, Alena (advisor) ; Kovaříková, Miroslava (referee)
I focused on changes in eating habits of Czech people during a century. I have solved this problem by historical-comparative methods. I tried to highlight the possibilities of current eating habits and available ingredients in context of time. Using a questionnaire survey, I mapped the current use of certain foods typical of the Czech population, which I divided into 4 age categories. The division was as follows: younger 18 years, 19-30 years, 31-60 years and older than 61 years. I was also interested in the differences in consumption among the sexes. The questionnaires show that there are changes in consumption of some foods earlier and today: horse meat and turnips are used less frequently as same as cooking of soups of cooked milk and cheese soup, etc. On the contrary, consumption of meat and fruit has increased. To facilitate cooking work, semi-products are still used, men more than women use canned foods. I also found that in my sample of respondents there was a more moderate eating style amongst people, there were few people with strictly defined and special catering styles. Research has also found that most of the people in the diet today see a change in the diet. This fact is perceived positively, mainly in the sense of greater variety and availability of food. The results of this work surprisingly...
Influence of the mineralogical composition of raw material on phases formed during the burning of hydraulic lime and natural cement
Kozlovcev, Petr ; Přikryl, Richard (advisor) ; Hladil, Jindřich (referee) ; Škvára, František (referee)
Natural hydraulic lime and natural cement have been used in the building industry for centuries. These inorganic hydraulic binders are called "traditional" or "alternative" because they can, in some cases, substitute modern Portland cement. The recent increased interest in these binders is due not only to their use in restoration practices, but also because their production and use is less energetically demanding than in modern cements. Historically, many types of hydraulic binders were produced in the regions of Bohemia and Moravia. However, much information has been lost about their manufacturing process, which raw materials were used, and we are uncertain of the exact character and properties of the burned material. To date, studies have only addressed the impact of the chemical composition of raw material on the parameters of the burned material - all this is well known for Portland cement, much less for other types of hydraulic binders. The aim of this dissertation was to study the various types of raw materials (limestone containing non- carbon admixtures) and to understand the characteristics of their respective hydraulic lime and natural cement. This was done by analyzing the impact of conditions (highest achieved burning temperature and time of burning) and the mineral and chemical...
Piano works of Polish composers after Chopin
Strzelecka, Milena ; Kozánková, Olga (advisor) ; Palkovská, Jana (referee)
The aim of the diploma thesis is to bring information about Polish famous composers after Chopin. The work contains an overview of life, work, and describes individual examples of piano and composer work. We look at the styles and character of Polish pianists together in selected parts of the compositions
Calligraphy as a picture
DRYKOVÁ, Zdeňka
This bachelor thesis "Calligraphy as a picture" consists of two parts the theoretical one and the practical one. The theoretical part deals with the emergence and evolution of the writing with the focus on Latin writing. The development of writing tools and pads s thoroughly mapped as an integral part of the calligraphy. The practical part of the bachelor thesis contains calligraphic compositions created from individual forms of Latin writing.
Složení společenstev larválních stádií motolic (Digenea) u vybraných zástupců plicnatých plžů čeledi Planorbidae
VYHLÍDALOVÁ, Tereza
In the present study the species diversity, seasonal dynamics, composition of larval trematode communities and factors influencing their structure were studied in two species of planorbid gastropods (Gyraulus albus and Segmentina nitida) in typical eutrophic fishponds in South Bohemia, Czech Republic. The study significantly contributed to the present knowledge about the fauna of trematodes in small planorbids, provided evidence for validity of general rules affecting trematode community composition and structure and demonstrated the underestimated role of both snail species as first intermediate hosts for trematodes in the past.
Everyday life
Rišiaňová, Zuzana ; Janoščík,, Václav (referee) ; Artamonov, Vasil (advisor)
In the form of paint, I illustrate portraits of people on a tablet, taking them from their electronic appearance on social sites, and creating objects in which I install them on a clothes-hanger in the form of jackets.

Key factors affecting composition and diversity of saproxylic beetle assemblages
WEISS, Matthias
The thesis concerns the community structure of saproxylic insects with a heavy focus on beetles. It presents a review on change of insect assemblages along small-to-large scale gradients and the importance of saproxylic organisms in forest ecosystems. The fine-scale vertical stratification of saproxylic beetles assemblages and their differences between forests habitats of different latitude and altitude are investigated. Further, the importance of open-grown trees for saproxylic diversity is assessed.
Graphic Engine Based on Entity Component System
Polášek, Tomáš ; Matýšek, Michal (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor thesis is the design and implementation of a library for entity management which allows software development using the Entity-Component-System paradigm. Analysis of the current state of software design is presented, including comparison of techniques used for entity representation. Potential advantages of composition are discussed from the hardware point of view, primarily based on the memory hierarchy found in modern computers.  Thesis proposes design of an entity system, using the ECS paradigm, which allows dynamic composition of entities during runtime of application from predefined components. The resulting system is designed to allow for easy parallelization of performed actions and user customizability of component data structures. The result of this bachelor thesis is a C++ multi-platform library, named Entropy , which enables its users to design applications using the ECS paradigm.
