Social networks as primary information source during presidential elections - comparison between USA and Czech republic

Bakalářská práce se věnuje předvolební komunikaci prezidentských kandidátů na sociálních sítích. A to s ohledem na fakt, že pro zástupce generací Y a Z se internet a potažmo sociální sítě postupně stávají primárním zdrojem informací. Záměrem je porovnat, jakým způsobem používali sociální sít Facebook prezidentští kandidáti ze dvou zemí - Spojených států amerických a České republiky. V případě USA se jedná o volby z roku 2016 a kandidáty Donalda Trumpa a Hillary Clintonovou. V České republice se práce zaměřuje na volby z roku 2018 a kandidáty Miloše Zemana a Jiřího Drahoše. Problematiku nejprve uvede teoretická část, jež popisuje proměny spojené se vznikem Webu 2.0 a nástupem síťových digitálních médií. Zmíněny jsou problematické aspekty internetového prostředí. Přibližuje také sociální sítě a Facebook jakožto informační zdroj a věnuje se roli sociálních sítí v politickém marketingu. Samotná praktická část se pak soustředí na analýzu dat získaných z celkem 578 příspěvků, které výše uvedení kandidáti zveřejnili v průběhu tří týdnů před finální prezidentskou volbou. Zkoumána je četnost, typ, rozsah, tématika a zabarvení příspěvků každého kandidáta a také trendy, jež v průběhu stanového časového období vykazují. Následně jsou poznatky z obou zemí porovnávány. Using social networks for teaching German as a foreigne language

The diploma thesis "Using social networks for teaching German as a foreign language" deals with the development of society in the theoretical part and how this development was influenced by technologies. There are also described the individual roles of the Internet and social networks in society and in education. The practical part deals with the use of modern technologies and social networks in education. There are individual examples and advices on how to integrate modern technologies and social networks into education throughout the year and also during one lesson. In conclusion, the work is supplemented with the results of a questionnaire survey, which was conducted in order to obtain information and on opinion of students about what they think of the involvement of social networks and modern technologies in teaching.
The European Parliament 2019 Elections Online Campaign of Czech Political Actors

In the thesis we are going to focus on the topic of on-line political communication of 8 czech ballot leaders on the social network service Facebook during the 2019 European Parliament election campaign. On-line campaign is essential tool to gain the favor of the electorate in the 4th age of political communication. In long term perspective the European Parliament elections are suffering from the low interest of the electorate and from the trend of decreasing tournout in both pan-European and Czech political arenas. Our research is based on the theoretical concepts about main functions of on-line campaign in the 4th age of political communication. The mobilization of the electorate towards political participation is one of those functions. Next we base our research on the second order elections theory of Karlheinz Reif and Hermann Schmitt. The European Parliament elections are characterised by predominance of topics important to the local political system and by substituting as a referendum about the government of a member country. Nowadays, new media play a big role in the world and among other things, they also change the role of classical media. Their use also significantly affects daily life in society. The possibility of communication through these channels is currently used not only by publicly known personalities and commercial entities, but also, for example, by non-profit organizations or sports associations. Diploma thesis Sports associations and new media: comparison of the vision and the reality of communication on the example of the Czech Athletic Federation (ČAS) is a case study, which examines the using of new media for the effective communication of the association with fans and journalists. The aim of this thesis is to describe the functioning of ČAS on social networks, namely on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, and then to compare the actual state of communication with the ideas and visions of the employees of the association. Bachelor's thesis "Communication of political parties on Facebook before the elections to the Chamber of Deputies in 2017" deals with political communication on social network Facebook. The theoretical part focuses on definition of political communication and political campaign in new media enviroment. This knowledge is used in an analytical part. The analytical part contents analysis of facebook accounts of czech political parties which were successfull in the election to Chamber of Deputies in 2017. The methodological part is based on the quantitative content analysis of facebook statuses. The aim of this thesis is to find out activity of political parties on Facebook and how they can use this communication channel. The major goal of the thesis is to prove or refute the hypothesis that the new and the alternative parties are more active than the traditional political parties.
On-line marketing and forms of promotion on the Internet

The subject of this bachelor thesis "Internet marketing and forms of promotion on the Internet" is to introduce internet marketing and to explain selected elements of internet marketing. The reader of this bachelor thesis will be acquainted with what on-line marketing is, what its advantages are and what are the most common forms of advertising on the Internet. The work explains the tools and metrics that on-line marketing uses and which occur in the Internet environment. The practical part deals deeper with the issue of social networking campaigns, more specifically on Facebook. This section describes the entire process of a specific campaign that is based on real-world data collected from the Facebook campaign. The work gradually outlines the initial strategy followed by launching and managing the pilot and main campaign. The aim of the thesis is to create and evaluate a recruitment campaign via Facebook social network.

This diploma thesis deals with a suitable proposal for a combination of promotional tools on social network sites Facebook and Instagram. In particular, the Reach, Views, and Followers variables will be tracked. In the theoretical part, the basic knowledge of the online marketing environment, knowledge of history and the advantages and disadvantages of classical and online marketing will be defined. In the upcoming analytical part from the described area, will be described potential opportunities for the development of social networking sites, which the author of this work uses to promote cultural events in Brno. The author of this work describes the competitive sites and profiles in the field of promotion of cultural events in Brno. In order to fulfill the stated goals of this work, a combination of paid or unpaid tools and their alternatives on the social networking sites Instagram and Facebook will be formulated.

Theoretical part contains knowledges from marketing mix focusing on promotion and instruments of communication mix. After that is elaborated analysis of communication mix of shop in centre of Brno and it´s compared to close competitors. Base on knowledge from analysis part are created suggestions to built up promotion.
