Finite reinsurance
Žďárský, Pavel ; Mandl, Petr (referee) ; Bohumský, Petr (advisor)
This thesis is divided into six chapters. The introduction reminds the appendages of traditional reinsurance. Definition, functions and clear generalization of both types and common provisions of finite reinsurance contracts is summarized in the second chapter. The third chapter is engaged in the available regulatory rules which relates with finite reinsurance. There is a preparatory act of the Czech Insurance law, the American standard FAS 113 and the European standard IFRS 4 described. Text is concentrates in different requirements on risk transfer of these standards. The fourth chapter describes risk transfer methods, which have been used until recently. Next, there is made a proposal of a new method, method of partial risk transfer, which eliminates significant shortcomings of the currently used methods. Features of partial risk transfer methods, comparing to other methods are described on two practical examples. There is a possible way of partial risk transfer accounting delineated in the fifth chapter. The conclusion is the summary of benefits of the new method.

Fear as a part of educational unsuccessfulness
Šináglová, Dita ; Pelikán, Jiří (referee) ; Krykorková, Hana (advisor)
This bachelor's labour, in its theoretical level, deals with fear in its general concept. Its functions, symptoms and possible reasons. One part informs about prevention and reduction of fear. Fear also affects cognitive functions, especially a memory, thereby an effeciency of childern at contemporary school which is mostly based on the memorial learning. In reference to the childern's fear, it definetely isn't only an anxiety connected with an apprehension from the educational unsuccessfulness. On how the child will be happy and successful, also appeals his position among schoolmates, position in the children's school society. That's why this bachelor's labour contains a chapter about the problems which arise from major disturbance of children's group relations (aggressiveness, violence, chicane). The chapter which is closely linked with two previous, is a treatise on the influence of the family education on the child and his personality. Connection of this chapter with the first part of the labour, lies in the coherency of the method of family education and his disposals to anxiety. Connection with the second part of the labour consists in the possibility to become a potential victim or a person involved in violence in consequence of education and the influence of the family model on the child. A part of...

Benefits of supervision: nurses' views
Pastucha, Petr ; Havrdová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Vosečková, Alena (referee)
This thesis focuses on the issues related to supervision in medicine, possibilities for evaluation of the supervision and available evaluation instruments. The role of supervision in medicine and other care providing areas is discussed. Particular emphasis is on the occupational characteristics of medical nurses in retirement homes. This thesis also mentions context of clinical supervision abroad, especially in Great Britain. In research part of the thesis author studies the benefits of supervision in relation to the length of employment and experiences with supervision in particular functions (supportive, managerial and educational). We have not proven direct relationship between these factors and benefits of supervision. Qualitative analysis of data showed balanced benefits of particular functions of supervision. But open statements of respondents showed different results, when nurses above all appreciated supportive function of supervision. Instrument used for this study was questionnaire adapted and translated from english questionnaire and some issues related to its psychometric qualities and its use in clinical practice are also discussed in this thesis. Comparison of respondents from seven different retirement homes showed significant differences in quality of supervision, which opens...

Attachment at Children of Mothers with Schizofrenia
Schmiedová, Petra ; Soukupová, Tereza (advisor) ; Goldmann, Petr (referee)
This thesis explores the influence of mother's mental disorder, specifically schizophrenia, on child's attachment in adulthood. In the theoretic part, basic terms of attachment theory are introduced. I describe selected methods of attachment assessment and the associated attachment types or states of mind with respect to attachment. Further on, key information on schizophrenia is presented with an emphasis on impact of schizophrenia on mother - child relationship. The following empiric part explores the form and type of attachment of children with mothers who suffer from schizophrenia and its evolution in time. I was also interested in different strategies the children employ to cope with their mother's illness. Adult Attachment Interview (AAI) is the primary method used in the research, complemented by Experiences in Close Relationships Scale (ECR) and Thematic Apperception Test (TAT). The research results show that attachment of children with schizophrenic mothers tend to be anxious, specifically anxious-avoidant and disoriented-disorganized, more often than in the general population. Mother's illness thus has negative effects on child's attachment.

Strategie oplozování u ryb s vnějším oplozením
SIDDIQUE, Mohammad Abdul Momin
Morphological properties, species specific differences, development, and function of egg envelopes are of importance for a better understanding of fertilization strategies as well as for captive reproduction. We reviewed morphology and the developmental stages of egg envelopes, mechanism of polyspermy block, and also the role of micropyle and cortical granules in polyspermy block for acipenserid eggs. The structure of the egg envelope is similar among the acipenserids, comprising an external envelope (thecal cells, basal lamina, and follicular epithelium), a five-layered oocyte envelope (adhesive layer, alveolar layer, epilayer, and zona radiata externa and interna) and a layer of oocyte matrix and cortical granules. The development of acipenserid egg envelope within the ovary comprises five stages, with further changes following fertilization. Moreover, we standardized the terminology used to describe the egg membranes which can minimize the confusions and be helpful for future work on acipenserids eggs as well as for other fish species. The sperm to egg ratio (required to fertilize eggs) and effects of pre-incubation of eggs in freshwater before fertilization were studied to standardized fertilization protocols for sterlet Acipenser ruthenus. Pre-incubation time had no effect on fertilization success at 430,000:1 and 43,000:1 sperm to egg ratios, while it was significant at the 4300:1 and 430:1 ratios. The use of adequate experimental suboptimal sperm to egg ratio revealed a positive effect of pre-incubation time, such that at the 430:1 ratio, 0.5 min pre-incubation increased the fertilization rate than 10 min. Transmission electron microscopy showed that pre-incubation of eggs in water for <10 min did not trigger a cortical reaction, suggesting that a low sperm to egg ratio 0.5 to 1 min pre-incubation of eggs in freshwater prior to fertilization can enhance fertilization rate of sterlet (minimally do not change fertilization). The effects of pre-incubation in seawater and the duration of egg receptivity were determined for fresh and over-ripe sea bass eggs. Our results revealed a significant effect of pre-incubation time for both the fresh (P < 0.01) and over-ripe eggs (P < 0.01). The fresh eggs had a higher fertilization success than over-ripe eggs. Fertilization success of eggs significantly declined for both of these treatments after 3 min of pre-incubation clearly indicated that sea bass eggs are able to be fertilized by sperm for up to 3 min after release into seawater. Effects of pre-incubation of eggs and activation medium on the percentage of eyed embryos for Ide Leuciscus idus were examined. At the eyed-egg stage, pre-incubation time was significant for the freshwater activation medium (P < 0.001), such that the percentage of eyed embryos declined across the pre-incubation time gradient. Activating medium had a significant effect on the percentage of eyed embryos for each pre-incubation time (P < 0.05). More precisely, freshwater produced the lowest percentage of eyed embryos at all pre-incubation times, whereas saline water and Woynarovich solution produced the highest percentage of eyed embryos at 0 s and 30 s before incubation. Examination of sperm traits showed no impact of activating medium on computer assisted sperm analysis parameters. Our results suggested that saline water or Woynarovich solution improve fertilization rate in Ide during fertilization. In conclusion, this thesis provides basic knowledge on gamete biology, role of egg receptivity period, effects of pre-incubation of eggs and different activating medium which can be useful to understand the fertilization strategies of different externally fertilizing fishes as well as standardize their fertilization protocol for captive reproduction.

Malware - threats and countermeasures
Hejduk, Jakub ; Luc, Ladislav (advisor) ; Veber, Jaromír (referee)
This bachelor's thesis addresses the issue of a threat in the area of computers and internet networks, malware. It defines what malware is, its various types and the history in terms of occurrence and actions. It also provides the reader with insight into malware's functionality and how it threatens users. Furthermore, the thesis contains examples of some current well-known threats. A dossier on antivirus and antispyware software is also included. It is essentially a summary of their functions, properties, benchmark results and a list of countermeasures it equips the user with. The last section of the theoretical part of the thesis is a prediction of the future regarding the evolution of these threats and how will they affect the user. A considerable part of this work is a survey providing a summary of the current level of malware knowledge among people. I intend to determine if people are aware of these threats, their ability to defend themselves against them and also whether they already encountered this issue and if so, how did they handle it. This thesis should increase awareness about malware to make people understand what it is capable of in the environment of an unsecured computer. Ultimately, I am going to present the results of the survey and evaluate the depths of knowledge about malware among people.

Possibility of using music in the film story
Tuka, Josef ; Vojnár, Ivan (advisor) ; Valak, Radim (referee)
If I was in undergraduate theoretical work dealt with the theme functions of color in a feature story, audio post-production at the bachelor movie inspired me to think about the questions posted on the kind of counterpoint: The possibilities of music in a feature story. It is a fact that my bachelor's movie was my first experience of working with film music composer. In FAMU exercises before, I worked more or less just with sound dramatic, I've used music just to forming background, but not as a specific emotional information. On the basis of this my inexperience, I had during interviews with the composer often got into blind spots. How to use music in the movie? At what point in the story? According to what decide to use a specific musical instrument? How to work with music in relation to the main dramatic character? This should be the main topic of theoretical thesis.

The memorandum of association (deed of incorporation and by-laws of a joint-stock company)
Karásek, Radim ; Štenglová, Ivanka (advisor) ; Čech, Petr (referee)
in English The thesis analyzes memorandum of association and by-laws of a joint-stock company, from both general point of view as well as from the point of their required particular informations. The part concerning general point of view describes and evaluates memorandum of association as document incorporating a joint-stock company, it is described what role is performed by this document throught the whole process of incorporation of a joint-stock stock company and what role is assigned to this document after the company has been established. The part concerning general point of view then covers the by-laws as a document which is a basic norm for functioning of a particular joint-stock company. The functions of a by-laws in relation to the chosen subjects are described and evaluated. The two general parts are connected through the tract about the relation between a memorandum of association and by- laws, where the relation is evaluated and the role and significance of the two documents is compared. The other part of the thesis concerns itself with particular required informations, every one of the information describes and evalutes relevant legal regulation which is confronted with the opinions contained in the scientific literature, in the court decisions and my opinions. Eeach required...

The role of communication in the knowledge management
Hudcová, Šárka ; Macák, Tomáš (advisor) ; Tichá, Ivana (referee)
The theoretical part of the dissertation thesis called "The Role of Communication in the Knowledge Management" strives to identify the relationship between communication and knowledge management and results in finding that communication plays a critical role both in implementation of knowledge management and in the phase when knowledge management is implemented. The communication can shape environment for knowledge management as well as can be a tool for knowledge sharing. The research was focused on the situation of implemented knowledge management where the role of communication interferes to both the environment and the knowledge sharing. The research is based on three case studies that describe knowledge communication and its context in three similar successful and recognized organizations. Facts identified in the case studies are analyzed and discussed with experts in the area of personnel management and internal communication. Findings from the empirical research create basis for the design part which is aimed at identifying the way how to leverage the role of communication in knowledge management and how to use it to positively contribute to knowledge management goals. It results in a proposed system of tools of internal communication that supports knowledge communication. The system prefers face-to-face communication but includes also other tools of internal communication. The system is put into a broader context which is built out of knowledge management strategy, organizational culture and internal communication. There are recommendations defined for each of the elements that should support the right function of the knowledge communication. Rules and guidance for the knowledge communication are part of the thesis as well. Everything is based on practice of the researched organizations, was discussed with selected experts and validated with representatives from one of the organizations. The validation ensures feedback indicating practical applicability of the proposed system and defined guidance.

Femininity and masculinity portrayal as displayed in the Czech film posters in 1968
Krátká, Lenka ; Havelková, Hana (advisor) ; Kiczková, Zuzana (referee)
The main target of this work is gender analysis of Czech film posters created in year 1968 with emphasis on identification of main presentation patterns of women and men in this kind of graphic art as well as on interpretation of these works in the frame of a given historical and social context. Within theoretical part of the work, mainly function and expression of film poster is presented as well as conditions of graphic art work in the period of communist totality. In the analytical part, conclusions of some 'Western' theories related to gender in advertisements (Erving Goffman, Judith Williamson, Jean Kilbourn; Libora Oates-Indruchová within domestic context) are compared with femininity and masculinity displays on film posters from year 1968. Beside this, analysis is aimed on identification of specific characteristics of film posters production in a given period and also on ways of presentation (and mutual interaction) of patriarchal discourse on the one hand and communist ideology on the other. Analysis of film posters from 1968 collection detects stereotype images of women (women as passive objects) and presentations of hierarchical arrangement of gender relationships (women as a disadvantageous group). Within the analysed file of posters there were also identified alternative representations of...
