Importance of Identity in Nursing Profession and its Impact on Quality of Care
DRÁBKOVÁ, Kateřina
The nursing profession belongs to helping professions which are heavily demanding in terms of mental and physical aspects. The nurses who are university graduates enter into practice more mentally and physically mature, and their approach to patients and the care provided may be better than in nurses with secondary education. In care provision nurses have to cooperate with physicians, but also with other healthcare professionals. Due to the lack of medical personnel nurses assume responsibilities of other team members, which they may perceive as a restriction in fulfilling their professional identity. This restriction may be reflected in the quality of the care provided. It often happens that a nurse cannot fulfill her professional identity because of the pressure of her family which requires the fulfillment of their own requirements prior to fulfilling the professional identity of a nurse. The aim of the thesis was to determine how nurses, but also their family members, perceive the professional identity of nurses. The aim was achieved. The research was carried out in two phases. The first phase was conducted using interviews with six nurses of different ages both with and without university education. The second phase was carried out through a quantitative survey using a questionnaire method in health care facilities in Písek, České Budějovice and Plzeň. Results of the research can be used in qualification and lifelong education of nurses to strengthen their identification with the profession.

Natural flooding in Lužnice floodplain - an holistic approach
Pithart, David ; Montagová, Martina ; Hartvich, P. ; Černý, R. ; Prach, K.
Natural flooding was analysed in the Lužnice River floodplain in a holistic approach. Benefits of natural flooding can be summarised as folows: 1. Water retention is increased due to the soil absorption, evapotranspiration, filling of oxbows, pools and natural depressions and finally the space between the river terreces. Real flood event are analysed here in terms of water distribution among these processes. 2. Natural flooding reduces the loss of ionts from the watershed by flowing the river outflouw and loss of carbon loss by slowing the decomposition processes. 3. Flooding creates and maintains floodplain geobiodiversity by re-forming of floodplain subsystems and differentation of its impact on these subsystems. For these reasons, maintaining and enchenging of natural flooding seems to be a prerequisite of sustainable management of riverine landscape.

Vývoj a význam ekologického zemědělství v Jihomoravském kraji
Klenková, Tereza
The objective is to evaluate a development and the importance of the organic agriculture and organic food in South Moravian Region. The identified details were than compared with other regions of the Czech Republic, or the whole country. The South Moravian Region due to its position belongs to the areas with a low proportion of organic areas, but since 2008 there are absolutely the greatest areas of arable land and permanent crops (there are more than 95 % of the total area of vineyards), but the smallest area of permanent grassland. This region produces 85 % of all organic grown vegetables. There is dominated sheep farming, followed by cattle farming.Typical for the South Moravian Region are vineyards and wineries, and therefore an integral part of thesis is the evaluation of wine production, especially organic wine in this region.

Aromatherapy as a part of relaxation techniques.
JÍROVÁ, Jana
My paper deals with using of aromatherapy as a part of relaxation techniques. In theoretical part I dealt with definition of relaxation and its sense. The most part I engaged in aromatherapy itself. I aimed on meaning of word aromatherapy, its history and its use in our time. I also pursued herbs and etheric oils, which unconditionaly belongs to aromatherapy. The practical part includes evaluation of enquiry aplicated on students of Health education which is aimed to trace theier opinion on alternative prevention/treatment and on adding the aromatherapy to the curriculum of the Regeneration subject which is teached on Health education. Research technique was a questionnaire refilled with a dialog. Results of the enquiry shows, that preferences of alternative prevention/treatment raises up at the expense of pharmaceutics. Students would like to spread out theier knowledge about this relaxation technique, which they could use not only for themselves, but in theier future work.

The system of deployment of provided rescue humanitarian assistence abroad.
SOJKA, Hynek
This thesis deals with humanitarian assistance from the Czech Republic abroad. The issue of humanitarian assistance is viewed in terms of its own management system and by providing this assistance. The humanitarian assistance has not been compiled into a comprehensive publication before. The constant increasing importance of this problem comes mainly from an increase in the number of disasters caused by the nature on the one hand, and human activities on the other. The issue of the thesis was to define, describe and evaluate the system of management of rescue humanitarian assistance that is provided by Czech Republic abroad and possibly propose some changes in management with the aim to make the humanitarian assistance most effective and fastest to be provided in the affected country. The next issue is to recommend changes in the structure of management to be useful in the praxis and also that the thesis will be appropriate for studying mentioned problems. The research question was if it´s possible to make more effective the procedure of providing rescue humanitarian assistance to the country which was striken by disaster. In relation to the described theory the folllowing assumption was introduced: is it possible to realize the providing and managing of the rescue humanitarian assistance abroad?Research work with the focus on solving practical problem was selected as a processing type of the thesis, it will results in more effective proceeding operation in the mentioned sphere. In this point of view of methodology it´s ?mixed research? in its simple way, qualitative and quantitative research is combined. The analysis of case study and nonstandarized dialogue were applied for solution of research question. The form of analysis, comparation and description in the theoretical part of the thesis was choosen from general to concrete. The first part, mainly characterizes two basic concepts ? The Humanitarian assistance and The Emergency, including definitions of legislation of this issue from the perspective of the European Union and the Czech Republic. There are also identified and described the major practical mechanisms of the assistance - The civil protection modules which send the member states of The European Union, including the Czech Republic, to countries affected by the emergency. This theoretical part of the thesis is followed by a research based on real case studies - provided humanitarian assistance during the floods in Poland in 2010, identifies and defines the system of strategic and operational management, supplement with data and own knowledgement from sphere of service execution ? operation officer of Fire and Rescue Service - procedure of management is formed and followed with the identification of 15 issues from solved sphere. The solution is own proposal which gives with its followed proceeding steps manual (instructions) to crisis managment how to proceed in the first level of management. This procedure is shown here in the form of a practical document that can serve as a ?check-list events? the Checklist. The important point here is a summary of the steps that must not be omitted during proceeding and management of this mechanism, with the only aim ? to provide the humanitarian assistance quickly and efficiently to the affected area.In the chapter titled the Discussion are into the context given knowledges about described issue. In the end of the thesis the outcomes and results are formulated, the research question if it´s possible to make more effective the procedure of providing rescue humanitarian assistance to the country which was striken by disaster is affirmatived answered with the confirmed assumption. Finally the author´s principle is mentioned which is useable for crisis manager´s work in early decision procedure of providing humanitarian assistance and other recommended steps in this procedure.

Epidemiology of the incidence of foodborne disease in the Czech Republic
REJZKOVÁ, Petra
Epidemiology of the incidence of foodborne disease in the Czech Republic In my thesis I focused on the incidence of foodborne disease in the Czech Republic and their prevention. Group of foodborne disease, which is dominated by the fecal-oral transmission, is strongly influenced by the human factor. Foodborne disease easier occurs in communities of large group of people and in particular there where are problems with compliance with basic hygiene. Presented work is an abbreviated synthesized look at existing development and current severity of foodborne illnesses. The aim is not a detailed data analysis of individual foodborne illness, but their global assessment of occurrence in the Czech Republic. This is specifically focused only on selected infectious diseases where is possible to show long-term changes. A separate chapter is devoted to detailed incidence of viral hepatitis A, which is currently a very hot topic. Furthermore, I also present information on the recent epidemic of HAV in the Czech Republic in 2008. In the first section of presented thesis I describe process of collection and completion of related data in Czech Republic, also programs which are currently used for collection of data and their evaluation. I have also indicated external factors influencing disease emergence. In the second part, I compiled information on selected diseases and processed those into a graphs and maps of occurrence. Based on knowledge of the occurrence of these trends, it could be used for recommendation of effective infection control measures affecting the spread of the disease. The outcome of my thesis shows that in the Czech Republic are primarily important acute diarrheal diseases of bacterial and viral origin. For number of foodborne illnesses the trend of occurrence in Czech Republic is at very low level and the problem is with their import from developing countries with endemic occurrence. Certain foodborne diseases are eliminated, as we have in place specific immuno-prevention for long time. Good example is elimination of polio disease in the Czech Republic. Due to positive influence on certain diseases even more comes to the forefront diseases of infectious origin and importance of their actual and relative increase. As example are certain bacterial and viral diseases. Most significant are salmonellosis, campylobacteriosis and viral hepatitis. This development can be worldwide observed. In economically highly developed countries all this is associated with the growth of the food industry. The incidence of the campylobacteriosis disease in the Czech Republic yearly exceeds 20 thousand cases, which is the most common human zoonosis. Given the importance of this issue the aim of my thesis is not proposing solution. The aim is only to map and point out the current epidemiological situation of occurrence of selected foodborne diseases in the Czech Republic.

Possibilities and importance of physiotherapy in diabetic polyneuropathy
ŠTÍCHOVÁ, Kateřina
This bachelor thesis focuses on issues in diabetic polyneuropathy. Diabetic polyneuropathy is one of the most frequent chronical complications in internal disease diabetes mellitus. The point is that the functions of peripheral nerves are being destroyed sensitive, motoric, even the autonomous ones. The destruction of these nerves is based on longstanding hyperglycaemia. Due to the variability of levels and localizations of afflictions, polyneuropathy is characterized by a huge amount of clinical symptoms pain, paraesthesia, amyosthenia, paresis etc. This disease is always very uncomfortable for a patient and it can be the cause of invalidity in the future. The main objective of the thesis is to bring fundamental theoretic information about diabetes mellitus and diabetic polyneuropathy and notify about possibilities of physiotherapy in therapy and prevention. To reach the research objective, I get some of physiotherapeutic methods to practice and then I evaluate the effectivity of therapy. First two chapters of the theoretical part describe diabetes mellitus and diabetic polyneuropathy in general. They contain a brief anatomy and basic information of these diseases. Chapter three comprises investigations that were used in diagnostics of the diabetic polyneuropathy. Fourth part informs about overall therapy and at the end the fifth is about possibilities of physiotherapy within a frame of polyneuropathy. In the experimental section of thesis, a qualitative form of research was chosen. It was performed by six patients, came from the Internal Practice of MUDr. Jitka Brádlerová, Aurora Spa, Třeboň. By the five of them, the diabetic polyneuropathy was actually diagnosed and by the last one it is in a phase of suspicion. Each of the patients' case report brings detailed anamnesis, kinesiology analyse, basic neurological examinations and two versions of the rehabilitation plan short and long-term one. There is subjective and objective evaluation of therapy's effectivity in the chapter seven, that is also annotated in discussion and conclusion of thesis. All the patients acknowledged an improvement in their status and that proclaims the therapy was selected properly. Bachelor theses can be useful as a comprehensive summary of information about diabetes mellitus and diabetic polyneuropathy, physiotherapeutic methods and their importance in the therapy of these diseases for physiotherapy students, physiotherapists, other medical staff even the laic public.

Physiotherapeutic possibilities in preschoolers with faulty posture
HRDINA, Jakub
The thesis deals with problem of faulty posture at preschool children and influence of this process through the physiotherapy. The theoretical part describes faulty posture including trends in the incidence, the position of individual human body segments, deep stabilization system and ontogenetic development from birth until the end of preschool period. Part of theoretical part also includes a list of appropriate physiotherapy techniques. Faulty posture is caused by muscular imbalance in the form of weakening of the muscles on one side and increased muscle tension on the other side. There are not anatomical abnormalities at faulty posture in contrast to structural failures so it is possible to correct this postural defect. Examination of postural functions in the preschool period is complicated because some developmental abnormalities are physiological in childhood. Therefore, it is difficult to determine which abnormality is appropriate to correct. Preschool period starts at the age of three and ends at the age of six or seven. An imitation of close persons is typical in this period. A lot of children stay in kindergartens which can be source of various risks. In case of insufficient development of movement skills and coordination of movement, one-sided stress or lack of spontaneous physical aktivity these risks may be reflected in the form of faulty posture. Qualitative research methods have been selected for the practical part. Data was obtained through two case studies that include medical history, along with kinesiology analysis. The research group consisted of preschool children diagnosed with faulty posture. The probands were selected from the Dětské rehabilitační centrum Lentilka in Pardubice. Based on the results of the examination, there were prepared individual exercises which were used at home. It was also used of sensomotoric stimulation, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation and exercise TherapiMaster. Appropriate motivation is an important aspect of physiotherapy at children. Because the game in preschool period has justified significance during physiotherapy as well, most of actions were adapted.
