Issues of Ukraine - Russia relationship

This bachelor thesis deals with issues of Ukraine-Russia relations with emphasis on Ukrainian internal situation. First part chronological encapsulates historical aspects of bilateral relations from the end of the dissolution of the Soviet Union to the tenure of President Viktor Yushchenko, which brings deterioration of mutual relations. Second half of thesis is analytically focused on the presidential term of Viktor Yanukovych and the then unequal relations between Ukraine and Russian federation. Evolution of relations between Hezbollah, UNIFIL and other international actors since the end of Lebanese civil war

This bachelor thesis is concerned with the evolution of relations between Hezbollah and UNIFIL from the end of the Lebanese civil war. The first chapter deals with the impact of the civil war on the movement Hezbollah and the so-called process of lebanonisation characterized by a transformation from a terrorist to a political movement. After that I cope with the UNIFIL mission, its deployment in Lebanon and its mandate that was redefined in 2006. In the third part, I focus on the first relations between Hezbollah and UNIFIL after the end of the civil war, the change of the leadership, the process of lebanonisation and the presence of the IDF in Lebanon. Fourth chapter aims at describing the relationship after year 2000 and future cooperation of the movement with the mission. The following chapter deals with the alteration of the mission's mandate after 2006 and the impact on the relationship with Hezbollah. On one hand, this was the period when both actors carried out pragmatic cooperation but on the other hand, several occasional incidents took place between Hezbollah and UNIFIL. Therefore I focus on analyzing the events and possibilities of future mutual relationship.
Czechoslovak-US Relations, 1977-1981

Diploma thesis "Czechoslovak-US Relations, 1977-1981" examines the nature and development of bilateral relations between these two states primarily during Carter's period. The thesis describes foreign policy of the United States towards communist countries of Eastern Europe in the late 70's and early 80's of the 20th century and compares this policy with foreign policy of Nixon's and Ford's administrations. The paper briefly describes prevailing situation in the USA in the late 70's, impact of Carter's administration activities on global development of USA-SSSR relations and influence of changes on international field on Czechoslovak-American relations. The main attention is drawn to the nature of Czechoslovak-U.S. relations, matters of mutual interest and to the friction areas among the states. Political and diplomatic relations as well as economic and cultural relations are observed. The thesis also analyzes Carter's initiative to enhance human rights throughout the world and to fulfil the Helsinki commitments, which had essential importance for further developement of U.S. relations with the Soviet bloc states. Global Terrorism and the Media as the Means of Communication

The master thesis Global terrorism and the media as the means of communication focuses on examining the relationship between terrorist organisations and the news media which play a key role in planning terrorist attacks. The author assumes that a better understanding of the mutual relationship within the communication process requires the engagement of other players into the research as well: the government and the public. Their mutual interdependence is illustrated on the abstract model from which the author, afterwards, deduces the factors which influence relationships between all the players.
The socio-pedagogical work with minorities

This Diploma Thesis deals with the issues of social and pedagogical work with the minorities. The opening chapters aim to determine the basic theoretical terms and they introduce basic information about some selected national minorities. The core of the practical part of this work describes the processes and specific activities, which can help in integrating pupils, who belong to ethnic minorities, into the educational system. The closing chapters of this Diploma Thesis include an empirical survey, focused on professional orientation and vocational selection among the Roma pupils at the basic school in Obrnice. Attention is drawn to the family influence and the role of school and other institutions operating in this field.
Czech-Russian economic relations focusing on the bilateral trade

The thesis deals with the mutual trade relations between the Czech Republic and the Russian federation focusing on bilateral trade in goods. The aim is to describe the development of export and import of goods, their structure and the influence of the Ukrainian crisis and sanctions on those relationships. In the context of flow of goods it mentions the risks of the entry to the Russian market. The work also includes general and economic profile of Russia's cultural specifics in business negotiations, but also the general framework of relations. At the same time it marginally mentions services trade and mutual investment cooperation.
Value ranking of Children in Children's Home in Radenín.

My thesis focuses on what values are preferred by children in a children's home, what relationships between values arise, and how values interact. The domain of value orientations, value and attitude preferences must be monitored for a better understanding of the people who surround us, with whom we work, of whom we take care, and also whom we bring up The theoretical part of the thesis, its individual chapters, focuses on the theoretical background of the issue of values and value orientations, as well as on foster upbringing and the characteristics of facilities for institutional upbringing. The first chapter characterizes what foster upbringing of children is, what forms of foster upbringing may be used, and what facilities are legally defined for institutional upbringing. The reasons why institutional upbringing is ordered by courts are analyzed in detail. The second chapter focuses on a children's home as a specific facility for institutional upbringing. Specifically, the Children's Home in Radenín is introduced that was chosen for the research part of the thesis. The definitions of terms relating to values and value orientations, attitudes, interests and motivation are presented in the third chapter. More specifically, the kinds of values, whose characteristics can be found in expert literature, are described. The fourth chapter clarifies what factors operate, influence and shape our value orientation as well as individual values, which become an important part of everyone's lives. Of some interest were also the roles played in this shaping by the school, family, peers but also the media. The empirical part of the thesis defines the objective, during whose accomplishment the basic life values of the children the Children's Home in Radenín were investigated and subsequently analyzed. In line with the objective, a research question was formulates; it was as follows: What life values are preferred by the children in the Children's Home in Radenín? The research was intended to find out what values are recognized and preferred by children who do not grow in their primary families, whose effects are considered as cornerstones in building value orientations of children. Of major interest were the analyses of interrelationships of individual values, interpenetration, and interactions and preferences of these values in children. The benefit of the thesis can be seen in the use of its results in everyday work of educators working with children in children's homes
