Pasport veřejné zeleně v rámci katastru obce Janov (okres Svitavy)

This bachelor thesis deals with the creation of a passport of public greenery. Passport took place in the cadastre of the village of Janov, where the villages of Janov, the settlements of Mendryka and Gajer and their surrouning areas belong. A mobile application was used to locate trees and bushes. Dendrometric data, including health status, were also assigned to each of the measured elements. The health status was assessed according to the methodology of the Agency for Nature and Landscape Protection of the Czech Republic. Almost 7 000 trees, including bushes, were measured on municipal plots. The Passport will serve the needs of the municipality and will be placed on the Geoportal of Janov.

Zhodnocení zdravotního stavu dřevin z hlediska výskytu dřevních hub v sídelní zeleni obce Hybrálec

In this bachelor thesis, health assessment of woody plants focused on occurrence of wood-inhabiting fungi in public greenery of the Hybrálec village (Vysočina region). In total 123 trees were evaluated. The field investigation was conducted regularly from spring 2018 to autumn 2019. This research was focused on monitoring annual and perennial fruiting bodies of fungi. Ten following fungal species were recorded: Ganoderma adspersum, Hypholoma fascilucare, Kretzschmaria deusta, Laetiporus sulphureus, Pleurotus ostreatus, Phellinus igniarius, Pholiota squarrosa, Pholita adiphosa, Schizophyllum commune and Stereum hirsutum on six tree species – Acer platanoides, Aesculus hippocastanum, Fraxinus excelsior, Quercus robur, Salix alba and Tilia cordata. Selected trees were measured by an acoustic tomograph and in one case the microscopy method was used to identify the fruiting body of Ganoderma. According to the health assessment, the treatments were proposed for each of the trees to keep the best operational safety of the trees. The total price of all treatment is estimated 54,780 CZK.

Inventarizace veřejné zeleně v intravilánu obce Žacléř

This bachelor thesis deals with the creation of a passport record of the public greenery of Žacléř. The basis of pasportization is to determine the composition of biological elements (individual trees, shrubs) and their localization using GNSS. At the same time, inventory of this greenery was carried out, which included the identification of the parameters as tree species and strain thickness. In addition, the health status assessed on the basis of the methodology of the Nature Protection Agency of the Czech Republic was assessed. The resulting database will be used by the municipal office in Žacléř.

Marketingový průzkum názoru veřejnosti na rozsah a intenzitu využívání krajiny ve Zlínském kraji

The aim of the thesis is a marketing survey of public opinion on the extent and intensity of landscape utilization in the Zlín region. More specifically, we deal with public confusion about land use, public and private greenery, and fisheries, forestry, nesting, bioenergy and nature conservation. Citizen's views were identified using questionnaires and the results were processed into tables and charts. The results show that people in the Zlin region are generally interested in the landscape around itself and its use. Residents of smaller towns and villages are more interested in using land, forestry and hunting. People living in cities, on the other hand, deal mainly with the issue of urban greening.

The bachelor thesis on „Mapping the Current Use of Herbs in the Creation of Flower Vegetation Elements in Built-Up Areas of Town Settlements” deals with the use of perennials in vegetation elements of a public greenery. In the theoretical part of the thesis, the issue of the Perennials, its historical usage, characteristics, cultivation, contribution and classification systems is processed in the form of literary research, thus providing a basis for the practical part of this bachelor thesis, which is processed in the form of a field survey, which results can quantitatively evaluate the use of perennials today in the creation of vegetation elements of public greenery of Kopřivnice.

Využití letničkových záhonů z přímých výsevů v urbánním prostoru. =: The use of annual flower beds raised by direct sowing in urban space. /

This dissertation thesis deals with the issue of annual flower beds raised by direct sowing which are located in urban space. The literary part of this thesis presents theoretical data of this issue. These data are followed by work in the experimental part which tries to find the answers to unsatisfactorily tackled parts of this issue and to deepen existing knowledge to such an extent that a wider use of annual beds based on direct sowing in Czech public greenery could be possible. In order to fulfill this main goal, several sub-themes were dealt with. In the practical part of this thesis a field research was done. Moodel objects were selected and visited. They were especially foreign ones because at the time when the dissertation work was started the use of annual flower beds from direct sawing was rather exceptional. In total, 12 cities with 87 beds were visited. On the basis of the obtained data the typology of areas for the use of annual flower beds from direct sowing was elaborated. In this way the possibilities of using annual beds from direct sowing in urban space were defined with focus on their limits and potential. The experimental part consists of two separate experiments. The first one focuses on verification of selected technologies for establishment of annual flower beds from direct sowing which would eliminate the occurrence of unwanted annual weeds as much as possible. This experiment was repeated in 2013, 2014 and 2015. The results of each year were used to improve the technologies validated in the years to follow. 10 final variants of founding technologies were verified in 2015. For these final technologies material and labor costs for foundation and care have also been set. The second experiment focuses on verifying new potentially suitable species and cultivars of annuals for direct sowing which would extend the range of usually used annuals. 45 taxa of annuals were verified in 2014, in 2015 the experiment was extended and 70 taxa of annuals were verified. The last part of the thesis deals with the transfer of experience into practice. In this part the model technologies were verified in public urban space in the towns of Strakonice, Plzeň, Lednice, Brno and others. The presented dissertation summarizes the knowledge in the field of annual flower beds raised by direct sowing which the author obtained in 6 years.

Revitalizace městské zeleně v podobě jedlého komunitního sadu

This thesis deals with the public greenery, its division, forms, function, protection and revitalization. Public green is displayed, in this thesis, as an integral part of our everyday life, which is necessary to protect and avoid its destruction due to any development and which is necessary to preserve, maintaine and rebuilt as much as possible. The aim of this thesis is to design a revitalisation study of public greenery in Blatná. For this purpose, were used findings from all various literature sources and also knowledge about the town and the location which is solved in this thesis. Thanks to this work it was possible to gather information about the history and present state of the territory and suggest revitalization based on this knowledge. The designed revitalization of the selected locality is designed so that the area integrates and fulfils the requirements of the local community, both in terms of necessary parking and preservation of greenery. The revitalized area reflects the modern concept of the natural creation of public greenery with its functional use in the form of edible trees and herbs.

Changes of public green and its cultivation at the turn of 19th and 20th century (case study of the town Kolín)

The submitted diploma thesis aims to evaluate which transformations of the public green occurred at the turn of the 19th and 20th century with the emphasis on areas primarily used for the cultural and social purposes. One of the most significant subjects creating the specific landscape in the industrial cities in this period are the beautification associations; the objective of the thesis is to point out to their importance. In the introductory chapters the issue is integrated into the historical and social context, the basic terms related to the industrial society are defined. The fundamental of running of the beautification associations together with their activities are introduced. The necessary part of this work is also a treatise concerning the importance of public green, its development and typology. The second part includes the regional probe devoted to the transformation of green space within the city Kolín during its transformation into the modern industrial city. On the basis of acquired archival data, is in the frame of this issue, evaluated the activity of the local beautification association, which enabled the creation of contribution regarding the still insufficiently analysed relationship between the society and public green.

Methodology for assessing the accessibility of green spaces in urban environment

In this thesis I focus on assessing the accessibility of public green spaces in urban environment. The paper summarizes some of the problems of measuring the accessibility by analysing selected methods used in previous researches on this topic. The main goal of this work is to propose a methodology, which would deal with these problems and which could be used to measure the accessibility of public green areas in cities as accurately as possible. In the empirical part of the paper I use the proposed methodology to compare the accessibility of public green spaces in two cadastral areas (Motol and Vršovice) and to test the hypothesis that a greater amount of green corresponds with better access to public green spaces for residents.
