Selected somatic characteristics and motor performance of girls aged 7 and 10 years
NOVOTNÁ, Petra
This work is focused on monitoring changes in selected somatic characteristics and motor performance of girls aged 7 and 10 years. The research was also focused on diet and lifestyle of the girls and their parents. The research was conducted at five different primary schools (Tábor, Soběslav, České Budějovice, Tvrdonice). Twenty six somatic dimensions, two functional tests and five motor tests for motor development were measured. There are also presented results of a questionnaire of children and their parents. Some body measurement was used for the calculation of body composition (the weight of the skeleton, the weight of the skin and subcutaneous tissue, the weight of the muscle mass and weight of the rest of the body) and the somatotype. The data were recorded in the pre-record sheets and then they were statistically evaluated and processed into tables and graphs. The obtained results were compared with the previous surveys.

Prospects of organic farming in the EU with a focus on the Czech Republic
Zikmund, Tomáš ; Vošta, Milan (advisor) ; Kašpar, Václav (referee)
The stimulus for the development of organic farming in Europe came in 1924, but the important period for the development were 1970's. The beginning of organic farming in the Czech Republic can be considered as year 1988. Since the beginning of 1990's there has been considerable development of organic agriculture in all European countries. In 2010, there operated 218,500 farms across the European Union, while the total area of organically cultivated land covered 9,181,507 hectares, representing 5.10% of the total utilized area of agricultural land in the EU. Of this number, there were 3,515 farms in the Czech Republic, where the organically cultivated area reached 447,821 hectares. According to the action plan for organic farming in the Czech Republic the goal is to achieve 5,800 farms and 650,000 hectares of organic land in 2015. From the above it is clear that the aim of this thesis is to analyse recent developments, current status and prospects of organic farming in the European Union with an emphasis on the Czech Republic.

Problems of familis with Down Syndrom children in the region of České Budějovice (Budweis)(Typology, relative frequency and severity)
CHALOUPECKÁ, Pavlína
The work deals with the problems of families that have a child with Down syndrome. Their relevance, what problems they are parents most frequently, and which heralded as the most serious. The work has only a theoretical part, which is divided into four chapters. In chapters gradually reveals the family, its functions, and types. The syndrome, its characters, the causes and the emergence of. The third chapter is focused on a family that has a child with a disability. Describes how to customize the family to the disability of the child. The last chapter deals with typology problems. It is located in her evaluation of the questionnaires, which were submitted to the families that have a child with Down syndrome on the Českobudějovicku. Most of the families settled the same problems, but thanks to civil associations of Ovečka relatively well can handle.

Specific aspects of nursing care of child with Down syndrome
BUBALOVÁ, Petra
Down syndrome also known as trisomy 21, is a chromosomal condition caused by the presence of all or part of an extra 21st chromosome. It is named after John Langdon onceive about how many children born with congenital defects? The surprising factor is that for every 700 to 1000 live births is born one child with Down syndrome. In The Czech Republik were born for last years about 70 children for every year. It means one child with Down syndrom for 1500 live birth.with Down syndrome comes other differences for the care. Parents of these children have to understand the delayed development with less independent child but with the increase care. The text is developed in two parts . In the theoretical part I have been looking though the problem of Down syndrome, the history and other forms of Down syndrome as well as prenatal and postnatal diagnosis other associated diseases and the mental retardation. The second problem is the medical care of these children, the communication and timely care. The theoretical basis were taken from the implementation of my research. The empirical part of my undergraduate work has been focused on a special care of these children with Down syndrome as well as on the parents of hospitalized children and their most common problems. Other part of the research I have been looked closer to the problem of families life of these children. The obtained data I was used for qualitative research methods. The qualitative investigation has been made by semi-structured interview led with children´s mother and with medical nurses too. From the result of this research showen us in which section of Down syndrome have not any specificas for this special care. The different care for child with Down syndrom comes from comorbidities, which children often suffered but not inevitably suffer. Mental retardation is considered as a single disabiliti of these disabled children. We see very often the musle tone in this syndrome. The main problems of children´s parents were insufficiant education also from the side of the medical stuff. The essential problem mothers perceived the behavior from the medical stuff. In the end is very necessary for medical personal to know the basic special specific medical care for children with Down syndrome. The demonstration of the problem can be use as the education material not only for nurses but also for parents of these affected children as well as for public. We created the leaflet for this purpose.

Effect of water temperature on early life history in African catfish (Clarias gariepinus)
PROKEŠOVÁ, Markéta
In the present M. Sc. thesis the effect of water temperature (thermal range: 17.4 - 38.6 °C) on early life history (during interval from egg fertilization to full yolk sac depletion by 50 % of larvae; Fe - Re50) in African catfish (Clarias gariepinus) was examined. Length of the incubation period (i. e. interval from egg fertilization to the moment of hatching of 50 % of individuals; Fe - H50), length of the hatching period (i. e. interval from hatching of 5 % of individuals to hatching of 95 % of individuals; H5 - H95), length of the period up to the first intake of exogenous food (i. e. interval from H50 to the first intake of exogenous food by 50 % of individuals; H50 - S50) and length of the period up to the full yolk sac resorption (H50 - Re50) were inversely proportional to the incubation temperature. Period of the yolk sac resorption was significantly prolonged (approximately six times) because of using of exogenous food (compared to treatments without added external food supplies). Embryonic development was theoretically stopped at temperature 15.4 °C and hatching occured after c. 12 effective day-degrees. Size of larvae increased during embryonic and larval period. Size of larvae at H50, S50 and Re50, was inversely proportional dependent on the incubation temperature. Size of individuals at Re50 was increased (approximately twice) because of using of exogenous food (compared to treatments without added external food supplies). Yolk sac volume (YsV) decreased during embryonic and larval period. YsV at H50 was correlated with size of egg and YsV was S50 was inversely proportional to the incubation temperature. A dry weight of yolk sac at H50 represented c. 89 % of total dry weight of hatched larvae. During the period of endogenous feeding c. 75 % of dry weight of egg was converted into the larval somatic tissues. Efficiency of energy conversion during the period of endogenous feeding is lower (60 %). The energetical value of total dry matter and content of sulfur in dry matter was decreasing during the period of endogenous feeding (in order: egg, hatched larvae, larvae at Re50). Content of nitrogen and carbon in dry matter was increasing during the embryonic period and afterwards was decreasing during the larval period. In term of survival, the zone of thermal tolerance for early life history in African catfish ranges from 19 to 33 °C (with thermal optimum between 23 and 30 °C), i. e. this fish belongs to the typical thermophilous species. The suboptimal temperatures lies within intervals 21 - 23 °C and 30 - 33 °C, respectively. Temperatures below 17.5 °C as well above 35.5 °C can be considered as the lethal temperatures already during embryonic period and those below 19 °C and above 33 °C as the lethal ones during larval period, respectively. In term of bioenergy, the thermal optimum for early life history in African catfish lies between 23 - 28 °C.

Development of map application for tracking in cloud - Client side on Windows Phone 7
Čurda, Vít ; Bruckner, Tomáš (advisor) ; Skoupý, Radek (referee)
This thesis deals with developing applications on Windows Phone 7. The application focuses on two main target groups; cyclists and individuals who are confined to wheelchairs. Application offers the possibility of navigating around the city and over difficult terrain, and is divided into two parts - the client side application, and server side application. Development of the server side application will be analyzed in the thesis Development of map application for tracking in cloud - Server side on Windows Azure, by Vojtech Ruzicka. The primary objective of this thesis is to offer new solutions for development on Windows Phone 7, with attention being given to the communication between client and server. The second objective is to provide the public with the free application, which will help cyclists and handicapped individuals to navigate through cities around the world. The primary goal of this thesis will be achieved by identifying any problems that may arise during development, whereby a simplified description of the problem will be formed and a solution provided. Realization of the second goal will be in the use of application by the public, by providing them with an efficient means of increasing their mobility throughout their surroundings.
